  1. I won't say I told you so.
  2. They were £25. Sold out now.
  3. I believe they popped up to advise some of the small ceditors just after the last meeting IIRC.
  4. It would never have happened if we'd appointed Hoddle and it's the fans fault for Lowe not doing so.
  5. And we all believe him.
  6. Because you are a whinging gimp and it's the 1st week of June. None of us are worried because it is only the 1st week in June. Back on block you go Thrush and it's only the 1st week in June.
  7. England shirt for £25 in Asda appears good value. mode>
  8. That's the one. The Peruvian keeper was Argentinian and the governernment debt Peru owed to Argentina was erased.
  9. My kids. Comedy gold.
  10. The biggest fix was Peru v Argentina in '78.
  11. There is one on an industrial park not far from where I live for an American pilot killed in 1944. http://memorials.emerys.co.uk/perrin.html
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/10237268.stm
  13. I always feel pity when I visit The Western Front and gratitude when I visit Dunkirk/Dieppe/Normandy and The Low Countries. Odd.
  14. It appears, very often, that those who support national service have never served and simply don't understand why those who do or have are, in the main, opposed to it.
  15. My missus and kids also had a great holiday as there is plenty to do in Normandy anyway. My missus, not a great scholar of history, found it all fascinating. What I found striking was the small memorials, local ones paid for my communities, doted around, showing the resort of small skirmishes that liberated small hamlets, footnotes in regimental histories, which cost lives. 500m from our farmhouse was a memorial to a Lancaster crew that had crashed on that spot. Flags of the UK, Oz & SA flew, showing the nationality of the crew.
  16. Corky & I take our u8's. I'm loving freebie tickets for him. Works out as £12.50 a game for the pair of us in The Chapel.
  17. Of look, a giant big £3 fee, how stealthy despite it being so ******** obvious.
  18. Not £3 more expensive though but fair point about the recorded games. I don't like the fee (for online sales) anymore than you do but unlike you I've already worked out how to either minimise or eradicate it. Still, best of luck at the Small Claims Court.
  19. Beevor's book on the Normandy campaign is a tour de force. Hastings deals with the landings more deeply but Beevor's grasp of the whole campaign is genius.
  20. The fact that you're an obnoxious neo-nazi holocaust denier has nothing to do with it. With a bit of thought the fee can be avoided or negated. Either chuck in together and keep it low or pay on the day for the northern/midland away games. It's not rocket science regardless of the moral stance on a booking fee for online transactions.
  21. Then use your limited intellect and get all your tickets together and pay only a small fraction on the £3.
  22. I live 180 miles away so don't have that option. That said, if I needed 1/2 ticket and wanted to save £3 I'd get my mum/sister/nephew to head over to SMS and get one. If I'm buying multi-tickets then the £3 gets split so many ways it's no big deal. Nevertheless, a £3 fee on internet sales is a c*nts trick.
  23. Stanley is upset as because he's a billy he has to buy singular tickets and therefore gets stuck for the whole £3. Most of us have friends and so the transaction fee gets spread and often works out at a whole 50p!
