  1. Whoa there! Now that's a bump!
  2. No money troubles, just letting players go as we did and letting players know that they can find a new club. The manager met with the board last Thursday regarding player releases and targets and the players all went on their jollies on Friday as it's only admin staff there for the next few weeks.
  3. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8688501.stm Deport them and let them face the consequences. I’d shed no tears in they were found in a Karachi gutter with a 9mm in their brain.
  4. I know someone who works at Wolves in an player admin role so I contacted them after reading the thread this morning. Surman was told last week that he could look for a new club as he wasn't required at WWFC. 8 players including Chris Iwelumo and Richard Stearman were given the same message. Make of that what you will
  5. St G is still waiting for BO to be knocked off by white supremacists. St G and Stanley must be friends.
  6. The interesting thing is that Lloyd James, before injury, seemed an inmovable starter for Pardew and now, despite that, he's gone. Ruthless management, which is just what's required.
  7. What happens to those who bought the lifetime season tickets?
  8. The reality of the situation is going to hit them like a hammer blow as the cup has been a great distraction.
  9. Call during the day and you get UK call centre and India of an evening.
  10. I'm sure it will be accepted I'm just not sure that it will be the CVA that AA puts forward. HMRC and the other committee members could yet challenge Baloo's claim for secured status which changes the game. Some players will go soon and others will still be there until the transfer window is about to close, sucking wages out of the club, and will then be sold off cheap and all the while the manager, who won't be Grant, will be attempting to put a team of low cost/loan players together.
  11. I'm still not sure about the CVA. HMRC have yet to reveal their hand and the firesale has yet to really kick in. They could be in a seriously perilous state on the pitch come August.
  12. He's clever and astute.
  13. Because they enjoy destroying things.
  14. By everyone you mean Alpine?
  15. I don't think there are any real shocks apart from James. I may have kept Thomas but no more than that.
  16. It was Jimmy Hill that fought to get the wage cap lifted way back when.
  17. I was in HM Forces at the time and shot on a regular basis. Had my own hand gun until Dunblane changed all that. I might well have winged one but can't remember doing so. In my mind I potted everything I aimed at. :-) The blokes I used to go with were old school country types and HM Forces and they would ID a range and pathways of a number of foxes and then we'd go out and try to get them but not during the period when young were being raised. As I said, I used to really enjoy it. Never done deer, I would quite like that challenge of bringing one down clean.
  18. You clearly feel deeply on the subject which I respect you for and you clearly feel as if it is an assault on your personal freedom and I respect your feelings on that. However, I disagree with hunting with hounds on principal and that's not going to change but I do believe in controlling foxes/rabbits/skates etc and believe in humane culling. I'll not try to get a rise out of you on the subject as even though I think your mistaken as it is so obviously a deeply held belief for you and that I do understand.
  19. I thought you would have prefered gassing.
  20. We used to set up in a field and wait. Get a kill and move on. Repeat until to tired and go home. Sometimes we'd get a kill and othertimes nowt. Out of interest what do you use? As I've said, not done it for many a moon. I used to really enjoy it.
  21. Boll*cks. Lamping means you are damn close which is the whole point. I've never missed and never had one bolt away injured (not done it for years mind). No one in their right mind would attempt to take down a deer with a .22 so don't come that and act all high and mighty.
  22. So is circumcising young girls in certain parts of sub-Saharan Africa which has been brought over here. Doesn't make it right.
  23. .22 rifles in the main but some higher calibre.
