  1. Could have been worse but for me, the devil is in the detail regarding childrens tax credit as my wife couldn't afford to work without the child care element but we only require it for one more academic year so we should be ok. The real cuts come in the Autumn spending review and they are going to bite hard. Some people are seriously misinformed regarding pay in the public sector. My colleagues in Sandwell haven't had a pay rise in the last two years due to single status review and now have a two year pay freeze. I'm guessing those living at home with mum, working in a low skilled private sector job and with no kids won't notice any changes.
  2. The buy/sell list was done weeks ago. A certain ex-England srtiker, currently at the biggest club in England, has been at the Wolves base twice. Once for a look around and once for talks. My contact at Wolves was far too exicted when they phoned to tell me that they'd just bumped into him.
  3. Strange how we managed to walk to and from the game, 2 adults with three kids under 10, without an issue. We saw no rioting or disorder. Potential riot situation my arse.
  4. My nipper loves his and his wearing it to death. He wore it to footy practice on Saturday and the very critical 8yos loved it!
  5. I took my 7yo and sat in our usual seats in the family centre with plenty of other kids. They loved it and are not emotionally scared from the experience nor did I or they ever feel threatened. The same can be said for all the "high risk" games such as Millwall and Leeds. Some people need to grow a pair.
  6. Agree 100%. The lads who laid into the Yeovil fans got lesser sentences.
  7. We will know if the sentences have worked by the antics of "the yoof" next season, but I reckon they'll forget soon enough. What I'm quite sure of is that if the offences had been at a match that didn't involve pompey they wouldn't have been sent down.
  8. Unlike you guys our billionaire has real money, which is his own. He also has an ethos which doesn't involve debt.
  9. I didn't get one either and they deffo have my email address.
  10. Strange then how I was told, and as posted on here at the time, what the sentences would be isn't it. You're nuts if you think the CPS don't have any input into sentencing once a conviction is made.
  11. It's not that they been done, they deserved to be, but jail time for what actually happened is OTT IMHO.
  12. Took my 7 yo and Corky Morris took his 7 & 9 yo. They all loved it.
  13. If you want the renewal price then you only had until the end of the month otherwise the price goes up. Mine would have risen from £277 to £382 a rise of 38%. Fine if you are buying just one perhaps but not if you're a family with multiple. It's this lack of notice regarding the withdrawal of the payment plans that really irks. I know people with kids who simply can't afford to renew without the plan that they used for the last few years and can't access the ready cash before the renewal deadline.
  14. Scaring kids at the footy = 1 year. Being a kiddy fiddler = 6 months. My problem with it all is that the sentences were decided, ahead of time, by the CPS / OB. I'm just surprised they weren't dished out just before the WC started. And before anyone says it's ******s you may like to read my posts when this 1st all surfaced as by B-I-L, a DS on the case, said that jail terms were going to be dished out for all those convicted.
  15. They same, obviously, can be said of yourself.
  16. But hardly the same old faces that you declared them to be. If they had of been their faces wouldn't have been in the print or broadcast media they would have just received the 6 oclock knock.
  17. Whilst I agree I also feel that their sentences were harsh, especially those where it was a 1st offence. I also know that custodial sentences were the target of the OB. By B-I-L was a DS on the case. I also know that they didn't get any one those they actually wanted.
  18. Like the previous games any serious disorder will happen away from the cameras and a few fellas will end up getting caught up in the moment near the ground and end up paying a very high price.
  19. What is the modearn era? Good question and subjective. For me it's post 1966 but you could argue post Hillsborough or even the 1st Sky game.
  20. Stipid? Yes. Pre-meditated? No. Deserve a suspended sentence, fine and banning order? Yes. Deserve prison time? No.
  21. I did say on here a while back that my brother-in-law was part of the CID team investigating the trouble and he had told me that the CPS and the OB were going to ensure custodial sentences. Like other similar cases, it was pre-decided.
  22. I suppose if you are a middle aged man, in a low skilled job, living at home with mum then cuts won't affect you much.
  23. Where as the language of the tories just illustrates what a bunch of "I'm alright Jack" c**t each and everyone is. You could also do with remembering that those in this nation with the highest qualifications and experience in their fields don't work in big business but in the government funded university and research labs around land.
  24. Stanley is a retard so it's no surprise.
