  1. We will fall behind to an early goal at some norven hovel and an overseas based saint will go into meltdown and despite going on to win the game, said mental case will use it as evidence of Saints clear failure. We will also lose a game by a single goal despite battering the opposition. An overseas based saint will go into meltdown and said mental case will use it as evidence of Saints clear failure to heed his warnings and buy Torres.
  2. They make Dune look bright.
  3. I've always refused to pay over £30 a ticket for a league game and that won't change regardless of division.
  4. Of course, the National Front rallies that Dune attends aren't full of thick chav scum who love a punch up and would think nothing of attacking any non English that they stumbled upon. Pots and kettles Dune/Stanley/Neo-Nazi
  5. :lol::lol::lol:
  6. FFS. Only one signing. It's a clear sign FFS that we aren't going up FFS and a lack of ambition FFS. He was only the the L1 team of the year FFS and not the CCC team of the year FFS.
  7. Crash and Salvage by a mile for me.
  8. The school may feel, that under ECM, that they have a duty to inform SS. Schools are fearful of not actioning a perceived safeguarding issue. Personally I think it's bad parenting allowing a 5yp to make their own way to school.
  9. My nipper goes into year 4 from September and he'll be allowed to cycle if he wants to. It's 1 mile on cycle paths. Won't stop me worrying though. 5, I feel, is a bit too young. Wouldn't want my 5yo daughter to be doing it.
  10. Clarence Seedorf and Jurgen Ze German have been very good. As per normal, the beeb put ITV to shame.
  11. As I keep saying, in my experience teachers who are going through competence issues tend to resign before any formal action is taken. I was mentoring a failing teacher this academic year and when I observed her lesson before her final formal observation I told her it was still poor. Should couldn't see why but resigned to avoid the process going further. That is the outcome in 100% of the cases I've seen in the last 5 years or so.
  12. Couldn't give a toss about points 1 & 2. Point 3 raises an interesting point. I would suggest it's far from being tolerated within schools/colleges and staff are happy when it's dealt with. As I mentioned earlier, in my experience, those teachers end up resigning to avoid the competence procedures. Point 4. Then he's a fool for believing education stops at the school gates but also a victim.
  13. Boo hoo. Nasty teachers making the supa dupa private sector work extra hard. Diddums. I guess if those in the private sector were better at their jobs and therefore better at making a profit then they wouldn't have to work so hard. I have no sympathy for their incompetence.
  14. Can't say I've ever come across it myself but I have known many teachers resign when faced with the evidence of their inability or take early retirement.
  15. Never going to happen.
  16. 4. Have had a career in the private sector and now want to go and "make a difference" in the public sector. The whole teaching team I work with fall under that and it's quite common now. One of my chief criteria when recruiting is genuine life/work experience and it's very rare that I take on anyone under 30 - 35.
  17. I would suggest that good teachers would be delighted to see the poor teachers weeded out. I know I would. Every teachers knows who the cr@ps ones are, be them just s**t at their jobs or just cruising along awaiting "time done". In poorer areas the issue is even more accurate as the worse the area the less likely the schools being able to recruit good staff. I see this every week. I know of one school who is attempting to recruit someone made redundant from the financial services industry to teach maths as they just cannot find a qualified maths teacher, despite the golden hellos on offer. Teachers can go stale very quickly (as well as uber cynical) so I wouldn't mind a law that means that we can only spend 5 years max in a single position and after that have to move on (unless having moved up the ladder in situ).
  18. Whilst the film is OK the book is genius.
  19. Pending permission from the respective Doris's Corky Morris and I will be booking flights for the 2nd game.
  20. Yep. I play online everyday for a couple of hours so I get VFM. It's highly addictive and a lot of fun and $15 is nowt. I'd spend more than that on a "normal" night in a pub.
  21. All the banning orders were revoked by the judge sometime ago.
  22. Stars - Simply Red & James - Sit Down (1991/92 working on the QE2) Temple of Love - Sisters of Mercy (Mid 80s Riverside on a Friday night with Hammy on his wheels of steel)
  23. I quite agree. They strike me as a bunch of whinging bitter muppets who are disappointed in their own lives and empty jobs and look on enviously at those of us with worthwhile and fulfilling careers. I don’t know if I should feel pity or contempt for them or perhaps both in equal measures.
