  1. Where has anyone said that she deserved to die?
  2. Err I said that in my opinion there was nothing wrong with having a couple of drinks. My problem was with the word 'sloshed'. What is meant by that? I am sure everyone knows when they are able to safely look after a child and when they are not. Having a pint or two is in general unlikely to make you a danger or reduce your ability to keep a child safe. Getting drunk to the point where you can't look after people in your car is disgusting again imo.
  3. My point is that the excuse of a dysfunctional upbringing only goes so far. Do we absolve everyone of their crimes if they have had a poor upbringing?
  4. I heard Ted Bundy had terrible parents who gave him a rubbish childhood. He has my deepest sympathies xxx
  5. For me the line is somewhere between having a couple of drinks (both parents being sloshed as you put it is still highly irresponsible imo) and taking heroin. Where exactly that line falls is up for debate.
  6. I have never done that. When in charge of children I have always been capable of looking after them. Anyone who has done that should be widely condemned and their capability of being a parent should be seriously called into question.
  7. But minty where do you draw the line? If someone goes out and murders someone or molests a bunch of people do we just say well none of us always do what we should have done? For me taking heroin when in charge of a child is crossing the line and isn't simply something that everyone would do in the right circumstances. It is inexcusable.
  8. I understand the point that not everyone is perfect, I would just say there is a line that shouldn't be crossed. I recognise that everyone has faults, I just don't think someone taking heroin when in charge of their children can be easily dismissed with a 'we are all imperfect' or 'it could happen to anyone. '
  9. Exactly. Thank goodness the child wasn't injured and a small mercy is that her children are still so young that they won't remember or be affected much by her actions. Does make you wonder if other members of her family knew about her drug problem yet let her look after the children anyway. You would hope they had more sense than that.
  10. What if her 11 month old child had died as no one was able to look after her when she decided to abdicate her parental responsibilities and take heroin? Frankly with child protection issues it is fairly black and white to me. Seen too many horrendous cases first hand where children have been destroyed because of the selfishness of the parents. Take heroin when children are in your care and you don't deserve to be called a mother.
  11. Sure 'mate.' Any parent who takes heroin when they are looking after their children is scum.
  12. Some papers reporting that it was a heroin overdose when her 11 month old daughter was in the house. If true then good riddance to her.
  13. They will never ever be the party in power so why does it even matter what their other policies are?
  14. Fair enough well we will see won't we. It is my belief that if Adam leaves, Shaw and Morgan will follow and we will have an underwhelming season. I'm hopeful Adam will stay at the moment though.
  15. Many of our players have already said in not so many words that they will stay if poch stays and if we strengthen what we already have from this year. Lallana Shaw and Morgan are pretty much our three biggest players now that Jay rod is injured and you could make a case for lovren. Look at spurs this year and how they have fared with their big money replacements (and indeed us with osvaldo and ramirez.) in my opinion, Adam going will see Shaw and Morgan departing too and we can prepare for a much less successful season.
  16. If lallana goes then I expect poch will have left and almost certainly Shaw. I can definitely see Morgan leaving in that circumstance too. That's the spine of the team right there.
  17. People are just talking about if it happens. I'm still pretty hopeful they will all stay except maybe Shaw, but if lallana leaves then the others will certainly follow and that will be the end for us imo.
  18. Would be very disappointing and pretty much signal the end of the ride we have been on over the last few years for me.
  19. Even I am getting fed up with him now. I do think if the mods banned him I couldn't see anyone complaining.
  20. Erm it's not amazing at all. When people judge how happy they are with saints they have to look back at the big events of the season of which our FA cup performance was one. Please enlighten us as to how long it is acceptable to be irked by our cup performances. And just so you understand my previous post: How dare someone use the FA cup performance this season as a reason to give a lower score than yourself for the season.
  21. Seems you have done a good job of policing this one! How very dare someone post that this season is less than a ten! P.s. you have some minor typing errors in your post. I could have made a big deal out of it but I'm not a bellend!
  22. What about all those other games? Or are we basing his ability on one game?
  23. Painfully obvious? you know nothing just like the rest of us. We may very well have a firesale this summer and have to readjust expectations, but don't pretend it's blindingly obvious as of now because it simply isn't.
  24. I love that. Rather than counter with anything, you pick up on my shortening of the word "because" as I was posting on a mobile phone as if that is meant to make my view invalid. Sort of reinforces my original point. Oh and it's Bill not bell...
  25. Pretty much this. No idea what he is like but the available evidence at the moment is that he is doing a good job. Lets see what the summer brings.
