  1. Jesus. A bit over the top mate. And that's coming from me!
  2. Oh yeah. My memory isn't what it was Lol. I didn't buy the socks and shorts though. That is ghey (though I do have some all white socks with red stripes at the top, what kit was that from?)
  3. I do find it weird when people say they are bored with red and white stripes but maybe that is because I associate Southampton with that combination.
  4. I think that just proves that it is all about opinions!
  5. It seems you have failed to understand what I wrote.
  6. I think it was grey thinking about it.
  7. I agree with you, but lets be honest it's only a shirt. It will be gone in less than a year.
  8. Maybe. I can't remember I only wear it for football and it's in a drawer at home somewhere.
  9. I may well purchase the away kit though, having not bought a shirt since I got a discounted black away one the year we went got relegated from the championship (I think).
  10. Whilst the success of a kit will be measured ultimately by sales, there will clearly be people who buy the kit just because it is the new one regardless of their opinion of it. There may also be people who buy it because we are now a premier league club. I would suggest that we would get a certain level of sales whatever kit we had as long as it is was red and white.
  11. For me it isn't the fact that it isn't red and white stripes, it is that is completely unimaginative and looks pretty rubbish IMO. It's clearly not the end of the world but it is a shame that we couldn't have something that looked better to herald our return to the premiership.
  12. Well that's just speculation founded on very little. Since Cortese have been here this is certainly the poorest reaction to a kit I have seen (and I include offline friends and acquaintances in that)
  13. I don't see why that is so funny. It is after all an opinion and we don't have that many different designs for home kits to choose from.
  14. I realise as a historian you may have more of an emotional connection to this sort of thing, but it is just a kit at the end of the day that we will have for less than a year. Don't get me wrong, I think it is a rubbish kit, I just don't see what the fuss is about. There are stories that have come from the club that are far more concerning than this sort of thing.
  15. How is he not a loser? By definition, if he fails to win a grand slam then he is a loser.
  16. A grand slam win is a very good achievement. Failing to win a tournament is not very good IMO. It's better than Britain has done historically but that isn't saying much.
  17. Seems the kit is pretty unpopular, on here at least. It does make you wonder how they come up with these kits and if there is any consultation before release (you would suspect not.)
  18. FFS the statue is second now
  19. TBH I don't like it but it's only a kit for a season so I'm not going to lose any sleep about it.
  20. Tickets for youngsters is catching up a little bit. Just a few more people needed until Monday.
  21. Grand slam wins are what matter and what he will be remembered for.
  22. Well you could argue that a concession is a perk of being a student. You know exactly what he meant, he isn't asking for anything other than what he is entitled to as a student. I mean if he was asking for something that he wasn't entitled to then fair enough but he isn't...
  23. He will make the semi and lose.
  24. It is amazing that so many saints fans have voted for the statue. PMSL. Some more inspiration:
  25. TBF I believe they have offered to play as many games in the past. I do take your point though about appeal. I mean the male players bring in the lions share of revenue.
