  1. Hope not. It's possible that our failure to secure a striker in the summer could come back to haunt us. Really hope we turn it round now second half or it's a mini crisis potentially.
  2. If they tightened up the rules after us then sfc have had a direct impact in PFC's demise...
  3. https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/pn_neil_allen Lol lol lol
  4. The news journalist just tweeted that Andronikou is the administrator or CSI! You couldn't make it up! Lmao.
  5. But I thin the point is that they are not 'intrinsically linked' with their parent company like we were.
  6. I guess we will find out soon! Haven't posted on here for a while but I read every day. If they go pop I will be most said to miss most of phil's nonsensical drivel .
  7. And as it is PFC's parent company, would that not leave them subject to the same rules as we had when we went into admin?
  8. What would be your guess for what happens now? Chanrai takes control?
  9. I read something on there about portpin being a secured creditor. Does that mean chanrai is owner again? Lmfao!
  10. I think some more experience of Christianity (and other religions) would do you a lot of good. It appears to me that a lot of your views on this issue have been given to you by other people. Going out and meeting religious people can change your mind on a lot of issues. I think that here (as in some other debates) you show your youthfulness.
  11. Erm no. I never denied that there are some horrible bits in the bible, neither have I disagreed that those who follow the bible as a literal translation of the word of God are wrong. I do believe though that many Christians use it as a guide or as inspiration to live a better life. They realise that as a document it is flawed (as written by flawed human beings) but realise that it has some good in it and some worthwhile lessons to teach us. Do you disagree?
  12. I think he was referring nationally rather than just a single borough. I'm not sure what you mean by no place? I think we have all agreed that being force-fed religion as fact is totally wrong. However, I would argue that learning about religion is vitally important, since it was and continues to be a large force in our society (both good and bad.)
  13. I agree, although it would have been better had a few of them talked in a calm and firm manner about what she was doing. In general, shouting and swearing at racist idiots makes them worse not better.
  14. I am 100% of this opinion. Great post. I wonder how many people deriding faith schools for brainwashing actually attended a faith school themselves?
  15. Although the person who did say something was also aggressive and used abusive language so that hardly helped matters.
  16. And I will stop replying now
  17. And I would agree with you there. I just don't think it is as widespread as some on here are making out.
  18. I think you have ignored what I have been telling you.
  19. From a historical viewpoint, religion has shaped our society and history for hundreds of years. It made Britain a lot of what it is today (both good and bad) and so I would argue that Christianity is a lot more relevant than paganism. Of course, Anglo Saxon life has its merits as well but as it is impossible to study all of history at school, perhaps some things have more relevance than others?
  20. Or use it as a guide or as inspiration to live a better life, or who realise that as a document it is flawed (as written by flawed human beings) but realise that it has some good in it and some worthwhile lessons to teach us?
  21. I thought that is what most schools did. So it's not really a waste of money then is it? It depends on how the Bibles are utilised.
  22. If more people knew how long most people who hang take to die then they wouldn't think it was cowardly. It's an act of desperation.
  23. I don't think the entire bible is the word of God. Besides, I have already explained to you how many Christians interpret it.
  24. I consider educating yourself about religions, if only from a historical perspective a worthwhile exercise. People may disagree but it's just an opinion.
  25. I'm not arguing that Gove's agenda (if he has one) is in any way correct. All I'm saying is that the Bible is an important literary document and I have no problem with it being studied in schools.
