Scott Steedman quits as Head of Sales & Marketing...

Tbf though, there are a significant number on there who don't do that. It may appear to be anti cortese because of Nick being the admin but in reality, they allow all views to be aired largely without abuse (things have changed somewhat with stu aka Boris coming back.) it makes a refreshing change. -

Yep. Now whether he left because he was bad at the job or because he was impeded in some way I don't know. Would be good to find out. -

The south coast club stuff, negative pr in the echo and national papers, our world renowned sponsor who erm wasn't. Agents saying we are hard to deal with. Again I don't agree with all of that (and there is more as you know), but there has been negative stories in both the local and national media. -

Speculation on tui that he found his job impossible due to the negative pr an press coming from the club. Not saying I believe it but it's certainly possible. -
I don't think we'll be able to keep them for long enough to have sustained success. Maybe we can keep them longer than before which is always a bonus. I think if you are correct then it is still ambitious. I think with stability there is no reason why we can't regularly qualify for the uefa cup. Any more than that though is unrealistic.

Thanks fr the start.

Plenty of signing in the past, posters weren't allowed to be underwhelmed by a signing. Does the same rule still apply? Seaborne is one for instance...
-
Happy birthday. Thanks for the lolz
-
So true. I am happy about the signing but also nauseated by the inevitable w*nkfest that I knew was coming from Nickg as soon as a signing was made.
-
You would so. For a strong npc squad there are a couple more obvious places to strengthen
-
Good signing very pleased about it. I hope we now get the pacey striker and cb we need to do really well this year.
-
Gordon Mockles, it works both ways. You complain about the quality of this board but then anyone with an opposing view is shouted down an jumped upon. Personally I welcome alternative views because it makes things more interesting. Te same cannot be said for nickg and his ilk.
-
Now he's just a rock
-
Sensible offers welcome.
-
apologies Shurlock, I can't see that on my phone. Still no need for the insults.
-
You're full of incorrect assumptions today Jamie. We analyse what went wrong. One of those factors could well be the inability to strengthen this summer if we do not, but obviously we are dealing with hypotheticals here.
-
I already apologized for that comment, I wasnt clear enough. We have three more years to get there according to the plan. If we do not get there in that time then according to the original plan we have failed. Simples.
-
Good. I didn't want him.
-
Why do you have to reply in such an aggressive tone? Why not discuss the points and put a salient counter argument?
-
Nobody wins. Everyone is ultimately the loser for participating in the first place.
-
Yes you keep thinking that I want Adkins and the club to fail if you like. Your utterly incorrect of course but if it makes you feel better then go ahead. I think a lot of how on course we are will be to do with our acquisitions in this summers transfer market. I said it will be our most important period yet and if we get players in of lower quality than the ones who have (reportedly) turned us down for whatever reason, then there is a cause for concern there IMO. Whether that is the pulling power of the club, NC or NA I don't know but that would be concerning. Hopefully we will sign the sort of quality players we need though and that won't be an issue (and I shall say as much as well). Just so you can hold me to it, if we sign Maynard, a quality CB and Cork or players of comparable quality, then I will be very pleased with our business in the window (although possibly we could do with backup for Chamberlain.)
-
Yes exactly. In fact, I hope he is really good! But compare him to Pardew so far (early days I know) and Pardew is ahead no doubt. Even the fringe players thing doesn't really hold water when you look at Antonio.
-
Of course. But the last thing I heard the plan was still being stuck to. If it doesn't go to plan then that's a failure really and we will have to look back and see what has gone wrong at the time. If it goes to plan then fantastic and I will be extremely happy. Lets hope that we sign the required players to continue with the original plan.
-
Absolutely not true. I thought I heard an interview recently from NC saying that we were still working to the five year plan and that it was business as usual? If we are not in the premiership at the end of the five years then the original plan was a failure. Correct?
