TBH I'm not sure I'm too bothered by it to be honest. For me it's a small error of judgement from the club which has left a minority irritated. However, the last thing I'm going to do is insult you or belittle your point of view and I accept that I may very well feel differently had it happened to me.

It's his opinion not an argument. He thinks how the older generation have been treated is grossly unfair and thinks that cortese will eventually sell for a big profit. He also predicts insults for expressing that and sure enough out they come. Whilst I do not share that entire opinion, I think it's totally correct that he is allowed to express it without abuse. There is no argument here, just a fellow fan expressing an opinion which differs from the collective 'opinion' of the forum.

About as great as saying they are not worth it and your reasoning for that being that no one has come in for them and paid that amount. There is ages left in the window and I think there will be quite a few npc clubs willing to spend that amount on proven quality. Whether the player accepts them is another matter.

I think you make a valid point so ignore the abuse that will inevitably come your way. We really need to get cracking with some signings because historically we are slow starters And we need everyone bedded in and ready to go for the new season. Until we sign someone of proven quality or who will significantly improve the team, there will always be that worry there among some that our financial support has tailed off from last season.

I knew exactly what you meant. It does feel after having (potentially) lost our two brightest prospects to Arsenal in recent years that we are their feeder club and I share your frustration. In the short term though it may be the best move if we can use the money to strengthen in key areas.
