  1. How can that be wrong? I said it wouldn't surprise me, not that he was.
  2. Perhaps he is a proprietor of said establishment?
  3. You love to stir as much as anyone.
  4. Don't be so pathetic.
  5. Problem is, Cortese is the chairman of SFC. Benali is not.
  6. Wouldn't surprise me if Canada saint was something like that.
  7. Have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I pay for my tickets to SMS, unless you are insinuating that I never expect to pay for anything? I thought you rose above petty insults?
  8. As the chairman, Cortese's responsibility is greater than Matts.
  9. Just about sums you up with pathetic comments like that.
  10. Do you mean all those words that were starred out? He was totally correct with his post btw as well.
  11. Great point. Definitely one gained rather than two lost. Well done Adkins for the subs and for the attitude of our team.
  12. I have a feeling that perhaps we will have an off day today. We are certainly due one!
  13. Good team lineup. Lets hope that Jos continues his solid form and that Fox improves. If Jos plays well then I reckon our shaky LB is our only weakness.
  14. Good draw. Easily winnable.
  15. Nope. Set out my stall ages ago. The decent start means top six and we will have done well. I've said that consistently. Wrong again Jamie.
  16. You really failed to understand what I wrote.
  17. Good comment. Pretty much agree with all of that. It's nt sensationalist, it's an entirely valid view to hold.
  18. If Walcott wanted to move then there would be a queue of top clubs moving for him.
  19. Incorrect on many counts. I think Adkins has started brilliantly. If we continue this for the rest of the season an finish top six then he clearly has proven himself at a higher level. That's all i have ever said and I have been consistent with that. Never slammed NC for not talking to the press an certainy have not slammed him for talking to the press. It is the content of the interview rather than the interview itself. Ah well you are wrong as usual. This was fun delldays we will be doing the same thing next week on another thread. See you then.
  20. It's talking about a vague commitment towered a serious plan. When we do it and it actually happens then I'll join you in your praise. It won't happen though.
  21. Lol a superb post as always that will be ignored by the majority. You are wasted on here you really are cb. And sorry mlg it was ambition talked about (though anyone can have ambition when they tal about it in an interview with no obligation to do anything) but it's unrealistic. I'm willing to bet a sizeable amount that we will never pay a player 200,000 a week.
  22. Exactly! That is my point. Glad to see that others feel the same way.
  23. Cheers. Most won't read it though, the usual ones resort to calling me a moron etc. Sad.
  24. Good decision making and outspending all rivals does not mean you suddenly believe everything that comes out of someones mouth. I just don't believe we will ever be spending £200,000 a week for a player. It sounds like me to be the sort of thing that someone says to get fans excites whilst not actually committing to anything.
  25. ANYWAY Back on topic, I guess it is some of the Cortese personality traits I object to rather than Cortese himself (who actually has achieved the main job of appointing and supporting a manager well although that is a heck of a lot easier when you are able to make a seven million pound loss!). More specifically, it's when those personality traits impact on myself and my ability to support SFC. I suppose it also grates slightly because with the money we now have I really feel we could do more to attract fans to the club. With just a little imagination we could be getting much higher crowds IMO and I think some of the little things have left certain sections of fans feel like they are a bit of a commodity rather than truly valued. It is inevitable that with premiership ambitions, this neglect of the fans will get worse and I feel that Cortese is really missing an opportunity to mark himself as 'different' by really connecting with the fans and listening to their input and ideas (not necessarily acting upon them). Love the results, love some of the decision making on the football side but really question parts of his personality, certainly this interview and why he felt it was really necessary to highlight that he stayed behind to clear up or that we may look to spend a ton of money at some vague point in the future. It just sounds like soundbites for PR and to placate a gullible fanbase, but what do I know? No doubt I'll get the abuse from the usual sources but I am aware that a sizeable number share this view, including a current saints player.
