I get it perfectly. The fact is we are a fantastic opportunity for a manager. It's the same reason that we will become people's favourite club to manage on football manager. Bit of a challenge first season but expectations significantly lowered (so even upper mid table will still feel fairly positive and everyone will gear up for the big push next season.) By far the richest club in league one and hopefully with significant funds (for this level) to be able to build the team how they want. If it is also part of a five year plan, I would imagine it would be very attractive and is the same reason that Kelvin stayed. He wants to be part of the start of the revival of our club. If WGS came here then promotion would be significantly easier to achieve than at many other clubs and if he was successful he could massively enhance his already impressive CV.
The type of man we are looking for is one who doesn't see the negatives but who is excited by the challenge and can see the obvious long term benefits both to themselves and to the club. If I was WGS or the other candidates I would want the job.
