  1. We had ten men for much of the game and we didnt play perry which was a big error. If we keep a clean sheet on wednesday can I rest my case?
  2. Maybe. But then maybe not. No one really knows so it's pointless having a go at Lowe about it
  3. You said our defence would get us relegated. We stayed up last season so our defence must be worse. I dont think it is and we havent conceeded loads of goals. Our problem is clearly converting our chances as the stats show and as I have seen myself attending all but one game so far
  4. As do I but eelpie said that it was the managers failiure to get a defence together which will relegate us. As I said our current problem is our inability to convert our chances and not the defence
  5. Eelpie is saying that our defence is worse than last year. I dispute that
  6. Does someone have the goals against record for this time last year to proove that we conceeded more goals and thus that our defence is currently performing better? Thanks in advance
  7. Intelligent response as always. I see you make no attempt to debate my points. Whats wrong with the defence? They had a terrible game against blackpool but before then I thought they were fine. Cork especially looks excellent. Our main problem is taking our chances.
  8. How reactionary can you be! Lets wait before talking about things as if they had already happened. Compare our goals against record now to last season and we have actually improved
  9. Lovely. And then you wonder why people are getting sick of this place
  10. If you paid to give the site a catchier name I think it would get many more people.
  11. But it's been debated thousands of times and this thread was really started to focus on Lowe and his decisions since his return.
  12. Lets not rake over old ground.
  13. What is wrong with making an assessment throughout the season rather than at set times? Is it not possible to say that Lowe has done well up until now and then assess it later on as well?
  14. Not at all, I just think differently. I hope you can respect that.
  15. It wasn't premature because my thread title was I have been impressed with Lowe. That doesn't mean that I will be in six months time!
  16. I was responding to the original poster who said that it is all about results for him. I would rather lose with the current saints team than win the premiership with ten billion and millions of players who don't give a crap. I might be idiotic but that's just me. Of course I want saints to win every week, but it's more than results to me.
  17. Fair enough but that's where we disagree then. I would hate Southampton to become what Chelsea have and for me, the win away at Derby meant more than any of the wins from the previous season.
  18. Who knows. Essentially there are two ways, get a load of journeymen and bully your way up or try and play football to earn your success. It would be interesting to see how Pearson would have fared had he adopted the second policy. I like the direction we have taken, but that isn't to say that there weren't other, perhaps more successful avenues available.
  19. Or even hired a promising english lower league manager. It may not have worked but it IS an alternative which was my whole point.
  20. I've already pointed out his alternatives earlier in the thread. I don't want to talk about it anymore as it's getting boring.
  21. I refer you to post number 6 in this thread.
  22. OK. Keep telling yourself that it was the only option. It's not true but I'm tired of talking about it now.
  23. But how do you think he's doing so far? Better or worse than you expected?
  24. How many games have you been to this season?
  25. The thread was not started with the intention of talking about that issue. It doesn't matter anymore. Just leave it.
