Good chance that those loans could be absolutely key to survival. Should allow us to get two top players. I'd go for a defender and AM and save our cash for a striker and Downes.

The manifesto is as milquetoast as it comes. The concern - as with all parties to be fair - is about more extreme factions in the party and what they will be looking to do with things that are not in the manifesto. The fact that Starmer seems to flip and change his opinions based on what he thinks will get him elected is not imo a positive thing. Hopefully that won't happen.

I'm getting more convinced we will sell kwp for 25-30 million. We can probably get an adequate rb in for half that and use the rest to strengthen. Just makes sense.
-
Czech keeper looks handy.
-
Yes which potentially removes two of those 20 million players. We won't be spending 20 million for each player anyway. I could see 60-80.
-
Indeed. It's not like what a politician has done in the past has ever been a predictor of what they might do in the future or anything. That never happens... *waits for a post about something the tories have done.
-
We will get a couple of loans for sure.
-
Doesn't sound like there is.
-
Exactly. Common sense post that I agree with.

I coukd be wrong but personally my view is Alcaraz wouldn't have left last season if he was going to play for us again. Not sure about ABK.
-
I'd say we need at least 6 upgrades on the first 11 to stand a chance. Can't see us making that many so we may be relying on a bit of luck.

I dismissed it because it has no relevance to the discussion about why Starmer would want to distance himself from Corbyn. It might have relevance in other circumstances but is utterly irrelevant in that context. It is extremely odd that you are seemingly incapable of discussibg Labour without mentioning the Conservatives.

Brentford fans have said that whilst he has played a number of positions, that is his main position.

New gk Kwp bednarek THB Targett Downes Smallbone/Ghoddos Armstrong new AM Lallana/Fraser Ings/Miovski/Stewart Shows how much work we still have to do because even if we made some of those rumoured signings, that team is weaker than last year at present.
-
No it isn't. I was simply pointing out that the reason Kier Starmer wants to distance himself from Corbyn is because he doesn't want to put off floating voters. That's a completely non controversial statement and is the truth. The fact that the Tories are crap and have useless people in their party is entirely irrelevant to that fact. You can analyse any party you like to death, my point is that it's a total waste of time when the conservatives are quite rightly heading for a total collapse and it's fully deserved. You can scrutinise them to death but they shortly will have zero power and if they have any sort of revival will look completely different to the current incarnation so I don't see what purpose it serves.

What about Alex Moreno? Seems like Villa might be getting rid.
-
How would people feel if we ended up with Ings and Miovski? I'd say it could work but equally it would be a big risk given we have Stewart. I think we'd need a big money AM to provide service just in case it doesn't work out.
-
Works like what? If for example the Tories had actually done some of what they'd promised during their time in power and if they hadn't been a total disappointment to many voters they had attracted for the first time then many wouldn't be gagging quite so much to jump ship. The reason that a significant number are jumping ship is because they are sick to death of the mainstream parties and don't want politics to be Labour and tory for evermore.
-
What a bizarre response. What does any of that have to do with Labour? No one gives a shit about the crap Tory Party, they are history it doesn't matter what they do.
-
Cool. Another off the wage bill.
-
Because even the mention of the sad old communist and any association to him turns off many of the floating voters that he is looking to attract.
-
Bit of a sad indictment of other parties that it takes so little to win over votes.

Incredibly sorry to hear that my heart goes out to you. My boy is called Elijah too. I'll give him an extra hug tonight.

I agree with all your positives but one worry is Southgate still hasn't shown he can react to tactical changes from the opposition to positively affect a game. He made subs with stabilised things but before that we did nothing to counter the higher press and playing in our half from Serbia.
