  1. New gk Kwp bednarek THB Targett Downes Smallbone/Ghoddos Armstrong new AM Lallana/Fraser Ings/Miovski/Stewart Shows how much work we still have to do because even if we made some of those rumoured signings, that team is weaker than last year at present.
  2. No it isn't. I was simply pointing out that the reason Kier Starmer wants to distance himself from Corbyn is because he doesn't want to put off floating voters. That's a completely non controversial statement and is the truth. The fact that the Tories are crap and have useless people in their party is entirely irrelevant to that fact. You can analyse any party you like to death, my point is that it's a total waste of time when the conservatives are quite rightly heading for a total collapse and it's fully deserved. You can scrutinise them to death but they shortly will have zero power and if they have any sort of revival will look completely different to the current incarnation so I don't see what purpose it serves.
  3. What about Alex Moreno? Seems like Villa might be getting rid.
  4. How would people feel if we ended up with Ings and Miovski? I'd say it could work but equally it would be a big risk given we have Stewart. I think we'd need a big money AM to provide service just in case it doesn't work out.
  5. Works like what? If for example the Tories had actually done some of what they'd promised during their time in power and if they hadn't been a total disappointment to many voters they had attracted for the first time then many wouldn't be gagging quite so much to jump ship. The reason that a significant number are jumping ship is because they are sick to death of the mainstream parties and don't want politics to be Labour and tory for evermore.
  6. What a bizarre response. What does any of that have to do with Labour? No one gives a shit about the crap Tory Party, they are history it doesn't matter what they do.
  7. Cool. Another off the wage bill.
  8. Because even the mention of the sad old communist and any association to him turns off many of the floating voters that he is looking to attract.
  9. Bit of a sad indictment of other parties that it takes so little to win over votes.
  10. Incredibly sorry to hear that my heart goes out to you. My boy is called Elijah too. I'll give him an extra hug tonight.
  11. Just received this little book of excellence
  12. I agree with all your positives but one worry is Southgate still hasn't shown he can react to tactical changes from the opposition to positively affect a game. He made subs with stabilised things but before that we did nothing to counter the higher press and playing in our half from Serbia.
  13. Bit premature to be saying that given that he scored something like 40 goals last year. He was poor today but too early to say if it's a permenant thing or not (and he almost scored.)
  14. I'd give both a run out in the next two to see if either can stake a claim. Foden doesn't deserve a starting place based on his England performances.
  15. He's looked a bit ropey for a few months now. I wonder if he's been nursing an injury.
  16. Elephant in the room for me is if foden needs dropping. I've never seen him play well for England and we have Gordon and Palmer chomping at the bit.
  17. Not many (any?) get 60 million for one player sale in the championship...
  18. Isn't it over a 3 year period? Hence why Chelsea could spunk a load of cash and forest? Not saying we should do that but surely it isn't too restrictive first season up. If Downes signs, I can't see us going into the season with Downes and Charles as our only two options for DM. I'd hope to send Charles on loan to the league below and bring in someone new.
  19. I agree but I don't think we can gamble. I wouldn't be surprised if we go for another decent dm in the meantime and then if we get Downes we can bolster the starting 11. Hopefully behind the scenes West ham will be clear about if they are keeping him or not.
  20. Ghoddos Lallana Fraser So that's a decent amount of experience but three average prem players. Good for the squad but after this we need as much quality as we can afford in key positions if we want to stay up.
  21. We are bringing in experience for the squad positions and free transfers will be first because they are currently available. Why don't we wait to see where we spunk our money first.
  22. Glad we are getting in some cheap experience for this league. Should hopefully complement the bigger names to come (hopefully Downes, an attacker and AM for bigger money.)
  23. I have absolutely no idea. He sounds quite average but he's played alright in the prem and Martin can improve players.
  24. Sounds like a useful signing on a free if we go through with it. Should save us some funds for gk, cm, striker, lb and winger which our are main areas we need to strengthen
  25. Not sure you can say that yet based on one game against the hosts.
