He said we're looking to make 100 million. We will be quite close to that if we do sell Dibling.
-
That's just bollocks.
-
Football Martin bloke said as much this evening. Pretty sure he has some club contacts (or he's just spoken to Alfie house who he is friendly with).
-
I will just repeat what I've posted on here many times before but completely ending all Hamas infrastructure and creating some sort of buffer zone between Palestinians and Israel is how it will most likely end up. It will make it much more difficult for Israel to be attacked as easily in the future. Probably ongoing administration of Palestine to prevent Hamas being armed by the likes of Iran too.

I expect there's been some war crimes committed as there is in every war ever. I support full investigations into those and consequences for those involved in them.
-
I said that it felt like it. It had been ages since we got relegated last time and my expectation was that we would keep quite a few more than we did. This time I was pretty sure we'd lose most of not all of them so I'm not as bothered even though it's a shame when the club gives us a bit of hope some might stay.
-
I have always had that expectation. Still disappointing when it happens. There's always a small part that thinks you can buck the trend and keep one of them at least. The good news is I'm much less disappointed than I was the last time we got relegated where it felt like we were being decimated.

35 with addons I'd probably take. Unfortunately does mean we are quite close to the scenario where the big four may all be off this summer. Ramsdale and Dibling possibly going, Fernandes definitely off and just THB to go.
-
It's not about what I want. Your claim was that "if Hamas are taken out of the equation" then there can be no reasonable objection to recognising a Palestinian state. My point was that simply stating that Hamas should not be involved in a new government of Palestine is not taking Hamas out of the equation. Clearly Israel are taking steps to attempt to prevent ongoing threats to their safety in the future as much as they possibly can. I'd be supportive of a Palestinian state in principle if Israel manage to achieve that to some degree.

He's right. You would have thought they'd thought about this likely scenario last year. -
No Hamas involvement in running Gaza isn't removing Hamas from the equation.

Ramsdale and Fernandes. Potentially BBD, taylor and Sugawara. None of those three look like they will be key players at the moment at any rate.
-
Does rather suggest that the idea that we were buying a load of players last year for the following season in the Championship was a load of bollocks though...
-
Good! Hopefully we get a great Fernandes replacement and then build the team around them and Dibling. New gk Bree Quarshie Stephens/another cb wellington Downes Charles Dibling new am Robinson Downs/Archer Should have a good shot at promotion.
-
Almost none because we are a championship team. Did you expect us to get relegated and keep hold of Ramsdale, Fernandes, Dibling, kwp etc? I fear you may be disappointed. The last time we went down did you expect us to keep jwp, Tino, Lavia, Tella? We will have to start another rebuild if and when we win promotion again next year. That's just how it works. That's football.
-
I'll let you into a secret-we aren't replacing Fernandes, Dibling or Ramsdale with better players. We are a top championship team with a place in the hierarchy. What we should do and what we almost certainly will do is replace those players who leave with the best replacements we can get who should be top level championship players with a chance to do a job in the prem. That's exactly what we did the last time we got relegated. Don't you remember?
-
Have a quote that Hamas "being taken out of the equation" is a requirement of recognition of a Palestinian state?
-
Has it I clouded Amo Ameyew fee and the small amount we got for the youth player? Bednarek? Also Ramsdale obviously.
-
All previous historical evidence, the appointment of Spors, statements from still and solak and evidence from all clubs in a similar position to ourselves in the championship suggests I will be. Zero evidence to suggest I'm wrong.
-
Let's revisit this when we spend good money replacing Fernandes.
-
It's all relative though isn't it. I'd expect us to spend 20-30 million with a couple of top quality loans. 15 million on the Fernandes replacement, ten million on rak sakyi or simililar and the rest for strengthening elsewhere including a keeper. I am confident we will do that anyway, just a shame it has to be last minute.
-
I don't think we're in a dire position. We are sti pretty likely to finish high up the table. The thing is I'm ambitious and I want us to attempt to win the league. With that mindset I'd say we are currently short of where we need to be to compete at the very top, particularly when we lose our three or four best players.
