  1. Good then we agree. There's some Democrats with absolutely ridiculous views as well and they have thus far failed to enact constitutional change too. Thankfully the system seems to work rather well in that regard. I'd much rather trump wasn't the nominee but it's for the American people to deicde. That's democracy and some of the wretched predictions about what he is going to do are just laughable. There are controls in place and a process for a reason.
  2. Lynsey Graham has said loads of ridiculous things he's a joke in America. Earlier I said I'd be happy. To wager an amount to charity if term limits were changed if Trump gets a second term. I'm happy to offer that to anyone who thinks differently. It's not going to happen clearly just like nuclear war and everything else predicted during the first term didn't happen either.
  3. "drain the swamp" and then he did feck all when in power which is pretty much what he will do if he gets a second term. If he gets in there will be a load of screeching, gnashing of teeth and crying from the same people as last time and the outcome will be broadly similar. Trump will continue to say stupid stuff because he's essentially all mouth and no trousers who didn't even expect to win last time. He had ample opportunity during his last four years to do all the things that some people on here and Twitter are wetting themselves over and he did none of it. No changing of the constitution, no nuclear holocaust, no Russia collusion hoax. Like I said, you give him way too much credit.
  4. OK then so trump might make a stupid remark about term limits and some commentators or social media freaks might. That's not really different when any president is in power then other than the fact that trump makes more than the average stupid comment. In practice it doesn't change anything.
  5. No presidential term limits are going to be changed by Trump. It doesn't matter how much you try and overstate the dangers to pretend he's something he isn't. At the end of his second term if he does get in and then the next president gets in power, feel free to come back and tell me how wrong I was. Or not.
  6. To be fair I never said it was good for the world.
  7. It's all a load of confected bollocks. A load of noise was made about the apocalypse, nuclear war and insurrection and then at the end of his term the new president was in charge just like it always is. I'm happy to wager any amount you like that if Trump gets in the exact same thing will happen this time. Trump is an egotist and a ridiculous human being, he's not some maniacal super villain. His opponents give him way too much credit.
  8. Sure. So if he gets in this time and either of those things get even close to happening then I'm happy to say that the ludicrous hyperbole and the doom mongers were completely correct. It obviously won't happen though and you know it won't.
  9. What ludicrous hyperbole. The same stuff was said when he got in the first time and the reality was there were less wars and acts of aggression than there were under Obama. Trump is obviously a ridiculous candidate but the distortion of reality that some commentators and social media users are desperate to do in order to make out the apocalypse is coming because trump is the reincarnation of satan is equally ridiculous. Most likely scenario if he wins again is that he will do some stupid posturing, do a few decent policies, a few mad policies, do a few more stupid press conferences and embarrass himself and not much will happen again. Rather like last time.
  10. Right winger, striker if Che leaves and someone who can play across the back line then a public statement that no one else leaves till the summer please.
  11. Why is he in the team?
  12. Will be interesting to see who we go for and how the others perform that we decide not to go for. If we do go up then I'm not too fussed about Tella. It hasn't really harmed our chances in the first half of the season and if we do go up I'm not sure he'd be good enough anyway,.
  13. Maybe but apparently one of his abscenes was because he had the flu which was a bug that a few of the others in the squad had too so it's only been a couple of times he's been off due to this.
  14. Wonder if he knows what a woman is.
  15. They got 33 games out of him last year when he was clearly effective so he must have done something right.
  16. Sounds to me like he's "injured" in that he isn't getting enough chances so isn't really arsed about things.
  17. This is the sort of reaction that makes me very happy. https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73717&sid=76a9745ffd06d138987e8d30c6acbc3c
  18. This particular bit of news isn't that concerning. I expect if he doesn't play that the thinking is they'd rather give him an extended break with the idea of solving it for good.
  19. The the papers are just as guilty of the partisan idiocy. I couldn't give a shit about rishi Sunak. If he wants to watch the football as a fan then great for him. He won't be PM in a few months anyway and will be as forgettable as Gordon Brown's spell in charge.
  20. It was bollocks but absolutely lapped up by some rabid people on twitter. Can we get back to the football on the main board now?
  21. Assume your joking? You realise this was fake news?
  22. This is what happens if you let politics into football, you get morons from the fan base turning threads on the main board into their own political whinge fest to push their agenda. Kick it out. Kick it right out.
  23. Just leave politics out of football. Let Sunak attend a game and let's not start asking the manager about it. It's an irrelevance.
  24. To be fair they have a big injury list apparently and made a load of changes so it was definitely not their first team last night. Still good though.
  25. How do we compare to Burnley from last year?
