  1. So the table isn't correct then.
  2. When was our red card?
  3. Yes. "I wish I could show yiu my ex players who have been there and come through the other side" what finishing mid table and lower? Martin has no track record of significance to point to. I think if he managed to keep the job then he'd improve on our position for next year, the problem is it would probably be from lower mid table to upper mid tale.
  4. You can imagine had poch started averagely or poor he would have been given sort shrift from the supporters who wouldn't have patience given he'd replaced a fan favourite. The pressure was on him from the start imo and he hit the ground running which is what he had to do to get all the fans onside and forget Adkins.
  5. Must remember things differently. Everyone I spoke to was outraged that Adkins had been discarded. The attitude was that Adkins was a legend and to get rid in the manner we did felt cruel and unfair. Quickly forgotten of course once Poch showed his quality.
  6. Piroe will 100% score. Depressingly.
  7. We just need Le tiss back in charge of the steering committee for the monkey chicken petting zoo and we are in business.
  8. Assume you're paying me?
  9. The only slight glimmer of hope is that Swansea eventually went on a run after some terrible results so it's conceivable that we could too. I don't think we will but it's clearly what the club is hoping for.
  10. I didn't expect it to be right. If I'm honest, I expected about 8th or 9th at the moment with a bit of inconsistency. I certainly didn't expect us to look this awful, concede the most goals in the entire division and possibly in the entire football league (I haven't checked), to lose four games in a row and look confused and quite frankly terrible. Not much to ask to see us look OK, see some improvements and look like we are heading in the right direction.
  11. Obvious bollocks.
  12. To be fair, at this point it's like asking if you'd prefer a punch in the face or an eye gouge.
  13. Next year- "the second year after relegation was always going to be a challenge. Changing this many players in one summer after all our loan signings returned to their clubs would always mean a lot of upheaval. Trust the process."
  14. "it's hard playing in the Premier league, we are lucky to be here and shouldn't expect too much" "it's hard recovering from relegation. It's a process and we shouldn't expect too much so early on after all the upheaval and scar tissue". What's the next excuse?
  15. He means that Charlie Wayman posts with wildly opposing styles, sometimes from post to post and speculation is that it's more than one person using the same account.
  16. Agree. My main issue with the comments Martin made were that he muddied the waters regarding what his issue with Alcaraz was. Not following instructions and not being able to trust him is completely different from him having a tough time in his personal life. You shouldn't be conflating the two IMO and certainly he shouldn't be going into details about his family unprompted.
  17. Poch Was our most successful or second most successful manager since promotion. His appointment was universally disliked by the fans when he came in and had a giant mountain to climb and he made a difference immediately and got the fans on side straight away. It's a complete fallacy that the fans clapping the current situation like mindless seals would result in any other outcome other than what is occurring.
  18. Great idea. If it goes to plan we should only lose 2-0.
  19. Adam Armstrong has been our biggest ever disappointment in recent years for me compared to how often he has played. At least Carillo and tall Paul barely played a game befor leaving. I have to endure Adam Armstrong stinking out the place every single week now he's assured a place in the first eleven and is inexplicably captain.
  20. I'd have him in charge over Martin tbh even though I think it would be a horrible idea to have him.
  21. Great post and actually very true. New managers have little choice but to buy into a project if they want to be given a chance unless they're a sexy foreigner. You'd be better off going abroad and having a go there if you're British if you don't want to get on board the bullshit train. One thing is for sure, you're not going to see the next generation of Mowbrays, Hughtons, Wilders or Warnocks being given a chance unless they happen to make a small club successful. Meat and potatoes football that gets results just isn't favoured by the supposedly intelligent football clubs.
  22. Absolutely. If this continues over the next couple of months- as seems likely- everything should be geared towards next season and stabilising us enough this year to keep us in the division and looking for promotion next year. The only positive with all this is I genuinely couldn't care who we get rid of other than it might be nice to keep Edozie, Stephens and She Charles who has some promise but everyone else can just fuck right off and start from scratch. We have one more chance next year before everything gets increasingly more difficult so we need to make the most of it.
  23. Sulemana, Edozie, Alcaraz and S.Armstrong should be on the pitch most games to be honest. Alcaraz has been underwhelming but we know what he can do and he certainly deserves more of a chance than the likes of Smallbone, A.Armstrong and Fraser who shouldn't be starting games.
  24. KWP THB Downes Manning Adams A. Armstrong All of those players have played much better in this league than they are now. That's over half the team seriously underperforming. At least with the others and the youngsters, you could argue that they've never been in this league or shown much pedigree before. You're right that we are incredibly soft and just seem happy to let teams score or perform against us and sort of shrug our shoulders when it happens. What we would give for the equivalent of a Craig Bellamy, Lee Bowyer or a Robbie Savage. Just a nasty bastard who would get in people's faces and wind them up and piss everyone off. It's actually incredible that we've gone through another transfer window without addressing this.
  25. Apparently doesn't trust him.
