That depends doesn't it. He might have a family and doesn't want to go abroad. He might have a great relationship with Martin and want to reunite with him. I don't think it's likely but it's more than a straight choice between Southampton and an obviously superior option.

If we are still in for him I'd be confident in saying that Martin knows he would be happy to come here.

Imo if we sign o'riley, Clarke, Fraser, Ramsdale on loan, Bereton Diaz and another striker we will stay up. We won't be getting all of those players of course but that's the type of quality we will need.

I don't want us to spend loads of money for the sake of it this season but I do think it's going to take something like shelling out on o'riley if its even a possibility to have a serious shot at survival.

If they aren't interested then I can't see him leaving saints for a direct rival. That rules out the likes of Brentford, forest etc. We still have a small chance.

Reading between the lines of Martin's latest comments, it would be extraordinary if kwp was still here at the end of the window. Not something we didn't already know of course.
