  1. If she showed contrition and gave a genuine apology I think it would be much easier to move on. I was replying to pingpong by the way who said it was "unforgivable."
  2. My brother in law was mates with forecast. He knew how good he had it, "earning" multiple thousands a week whilst hanging out in the pitcher and piano pulling pints and birds regularly. Spurs pulled our pants down.
  3. I like the idea that for the majority of crimes, it's possible to be redeemed by showing contrition and with a genuine apology. I don't know about this case because I haven't looked into it enough but the concept of being dammed forever because of mistakes you have made is a very leftist social media thing that I'm personally not a fan of. Diane is of course a racist herself which doesn't excuse this blokes actions of course but worth highlighting that we've also never had any apologies for many of her comments.
  4. Oh and regarding Diane - I don't think the solution to any odious racist is to threaten to shoot them. They should instead be shown up for the small minded simpletons they are. It doesn't matter how objectionable their views or how rancid their rhetoric, violence is not the answer.
  5. I think the vast majority of tories are twats. Most politicians are.
  6. Pointing the fingers at others doesn't make your own comments about black women any better.
  7. And yet the most strident criticism comes from a poster whose main interactions with other races appear to be with his hairdresser, the local shopkeeper and someone who shines his shoes. You couldn't make it up.
  8. TBF people do mistake my wife for Indian so maybe I do hate Muslims but I manage to get away with it.
  9. I'm pleased for him that he's done well but it does feel that a player like him would have been the missing piece for us this year. What might have been...
  10. You'd be well versed in that subject.
  11. If there's nowhere suitable the best you can do is to educate your children and hope they aren't too adversely influenced by it.
  12. Oh he very much reads them in those circumstances.
  13. Time to get a change of schools I'd think. I taught in a Catholic school and in my experience they've managed to avoid most of that so far.
  14. I genuinely think Leeds are going to win the league which means we will have to pip Leicester to get second which personally I don't think is happening now.
  15. He's definitely improved and his accent doesn't grate on me now like it used to. He's also been speaking sense recently and gives a good perspective as an ex pro. I think he's worth a place in the commentary team.
  16. Goal from nothing that.
  17. We've been decent but Sunderland have been turd. Their shooting has been abysmal.

Their religious leader has authority over the person supposedly running the country ffs. They are the definition of nutters.

Correct. No sane person would have time for Islamists and they absolutely are Islamist nutters.

This is actually the whole point. All these people talk about how outrageous the Israeli actions are, the whole point is in an alternate reality where they had acted exactly as their detractors would have wanted them to, Hamas woukd have seized any opportunity they could get to do it again and worse if they got the opportunity. Let's not forget also that these people were voted for by the population of Gaza. They wouldn't see so called Israeli tolerance in this situation as something to be grateful for, they'd view it as a weakness that they can exploit to cause more death and destruction.

How is it not the exact same mindset but on a larger scale?

Yep. I wonder if they predicted this - doubt it - and if they privately regret their actions given the horrors they have caused. Probably think it's Allah's will or some such bollocks.

I know it goes beyond Hamas. I don't believe that Hamas would have predicted this scale of response from the Israelis though. The alternative from Israel would have been to not respond which is completely unrealistic whilst Hamas held hostages.

I'm not sure that relying on the views of an average member of the British public to lend your opinion credibility is the wisest move.

They will succeed in their aim to cripple Hamas for a generation and possible permanently prevent a similar attack like October depending upon how this us resolved which is infinitely preferable to the alternative. My view has not changed on this so I don't agree with anything that I didn't previously believe in October.
