  1. 100%. Also worth pointing out that the vast majority of primary inspections are carried out by inspectors with little to no experience of early years. It's a distinct category incredibly different from older year groups.
  2. I think people need a bit of perspective. If everyone was told our points tally at this point of the season when we started the season then almost everyone would be biting your hand off. Yes the style could be better and we could be winning games more convincingly, but the vast majority would have been predicting playoffs after our summer of upheaval. We're probably performing slightly above where I expected us to be given we are now very comfortably in the playoffs. Lets bring some goals in in January and some creativity and hopefully we will find that some of our lack of domination is down to personnel rather than just the system.
  3. Part of me would love this even though I don't think it would be a success. I'm also not sure he'd be able to play the football we currently play. Fuck it though it would be awesome to see him on the pitch and getting a few goals.
  4. Stories like this everywhere. Seems the only people who don't think there's a problem are people who have never worked in schools.
  5. Will add that I don't think we should really place much stock in much that Martin says in interviews. He's routinely said about making changes and then playing the same team or Downes being ready and then him not making the bench. I think that largely his post match comments about pride and how good we were is just bland platitudes to build up the players. Who knows if he really believes much of what he says.
  6. Yes I agree with you. We haven't truly dominated an entire game all season which I think is partly because of the amount of players we have from last year still. I'm not sure we have the calibre of players to dominate other teams with this style of play but this is what we have decided to go for so we have to make it work as best as we can. I'll be interested to see if we can make it work better with a few different attacking options beyond ones that have never really worked like Mara.
  7. Yep. Hoping for a couple of reinforcements in January to help us with this. I'm sure the club would have been counting on Stewart being fit now to contribute to things. We've also lost Sulemana which will inevitably make us slower. Very confident of getting playoffs now and little chance of automatic which tbf I would have taken after we lost 4 in a row. Hoping to increase our goals scored which should give us more chance of success in the playoffs.
  8. I'm satisfied with a point away to a decent team on a good run of form. Any normal championship year and we'd be top of the table right now. Yes I want some better performances but I'm not pissing my pants like some people.
  9. Draw away to Coventry isn't the worst result. It only sucks because we didn't beat Watford.
  10. What a shit lineup we picked to start this game. That midfield was crap and Bree has done nothing wrong to be dropped.
  11. Admittedly I was dipping in and out doing other things but I thought we looked alright?
  12. Anyone got the stats of when we start with Alcaraz versus not starting with him? My sense is it's not good when he doesn't start.
  13. That's one of our weakest starting lineups of the season for me...
  14. I'm at qpr and I'm bringing my face paints and jester hat so you should see a marked improvement in a couple of weeks.
  15. It was a good save but it's not exactly Niemi level where you watch open mouthed that he managed to pull off a stop.
  16. The entire thing is absolutely ridiculous. Even those who would like to see significant action taken over illegal immigration will surely admit that this is not the way to do anything.
  17. Do asset management firms like Blackrock have an influence over companies, messaging they push and marketing decisions?
  18. They would have been aware but the rules have always been a bit grey about who you can tell and when which is part of the problem. Like I said though, I don't think Ofsted is solely to blame but the way that Ofsted operates and the whole manner of the inspection framework have negatively impacted the mental health of a large number of teachers and senior teams who work with children. On top of that there is a retention and recruitment crisis which again Ofsted and the culture they foster have a significant role in. The Ruth Perry suicide is thankfully a rare occurrence but the circumstances and treatment she received is not rare at all. Of course some can get a bad Ofsted result and survive or improve but that doesn't make the current situation right.
  19. I don't think you can say that with certainty.
  20. I think Joey was mostly referring to Amazon Prime coverage where it is getting out of control. It would be lovely if you had a choice of commentary and punditry on the equivalent of the red button which would be nice but I doubt they would ever allow that because then they'd see a clear preference for one over the other and the pretence would be over.
  21. Seems that for most it's not female pundits that are the issue, it's shit female pundits.
  22. She's a presenter and a pundit though not brain of Britain or a journalist. She's paid to be authentic and knowledgeable on the telly and seem like a bit of a laugh with a sense of humour and she accomplishes that well. She could be absolutely awful in her personal life but that's not really important to do the job.
  23. Eni eluko is absolutely horrendous though it must be said.
  24. Agree to disagree. I've always thought she was decent. Saw her in the boxing the other week and she was great on that too.
  25. I can't say I've ever considered them left wing, just inconsistent and often led by an inspector with a particular agenda with the days going how they decide rather than how it's been laid out by ofsted.
