  1. Reading this topic reminds me of that time some weirdo on here tried to persuade everyone that using the word "Chinaman" was terribly insulting and pointed to some obscure American article as proof.
  2. Educate yourself 😆hysterical. I tried to educate myself by looking in the dictionary and it told me that the word "mong" is slang for "a foolish person." It's still funny that you jumped to outrage over a typo. Oh and Mings was acting incredibly foolish so it's not that out of place then going by that definition.
  3. It was a typo but absolutely hilarious that you've gone all faux outraged over it. Stop being such a mong.
  4. I was just coming in here to write that! I read the story and I couldn't find the offensive language as I assumed it was something actually offensive.
  5. Yes because it doesn't make the word "colour" the subject and they would argue prevents the individual from being defined solely by the colour of their skin.
  6. They would argue that the term "person of colour" centres the person rather than their colour. In summary it's bollocks.
  7. TBF haven't fox news been broadly calling the election for Biden?
  8. I see Mongs is already putting the pressure on to replace him with someone darker skinned.
  9. I know someone who is a nurse who works in track and trace and she says there's been much less examples of losing sense of smell in this second wave. Could be a different variant?
  10. Hope all goes OK.
  11. If this vaccine works at a long term effectiveness of 90% then there will be no need to have a vaccine with a higher percentage.
  12. Great article. Also reminded me how much I love it when JWP winds up Zaha.
  13. In my opinion you're not a football fan if you want to see technology taking multiple minutes to try to figure out if a goal should be disallowed because the flawed technology determines that there could be a possibility that the striker was offside by a gnats bollock. Or if you are comfortable with VAR deciding that someone's arm is offside because they are pointing where they want the ball played. If they carry on with football like that then I can guarantee that it will stay to lose its appeal for many and will not be as popular.
  14. So you just agreed with my post then (albeit there is potential for a slightly higher instance given the amount of postal ballots this time around.)
  15. Not sure why it's so difficult. Clear and obvious is what it should be. If it's a decision that can't be determined quickly and easily within about 30 seconds with slow motion replays then the attackers get the benefit of the doubt. If you have to stay drawing lines or look in terms of millimetres then that's when you don't overturn the decision. Common sense.
  16. Hard to disagree with that either. Both sides have been pretty awful that's why the best hope is that Biden does become some sort of unifying and moderating force.
  17. I mean voter fraud probably did occur (it's not without precedent at all during elections in America) but not on any sort of scale where it would have affected the result.
  18. I agree it won't happen but I didn't say it would. All I'm saying is that situations lime this are bound to happen during voting time with the current system they have.
  19. All it does is create this mess where you have different voting software and reports of errors from that in different counties, differing cutoff points for voting, voting still going on whilst results are being reported elsewhere. Etc etc. They need some overarching principles to ensure there is confidence in the voting process on both sides and also to minimise the chances of people like the Trump regime trying to litigate his way to victory.
  20. I agree. Its stupid and Trump should just concede. The whole voting system in America is completely open to fraud though regardless of this result. Insane that each state has different rules for voting.
  21. I seem to remember there was some editorial article a few years back talking about how they would be making a commitment to feature female sports more prominently which I don't necessarily have a problem with although I'd question it when it stays getting in the way of what I actually want to read or if they obscure what it is forcing me to waste my time clicking on it. Like I said it's a minor thing but it's an irritation. Would be better if they let you login and then customise what you actually want to see on the homepage. With regards to your second point I think I've mentioned that before. Bringing on a pundit to talk about Manchester United because they played for Manchester United women is absurd. Nothing wrong with female pundits but it's incredibly grating when they try to compare the sport with the mens (same with records like top goalscorer.)
  22. Lol. Godwin's law! I guess if true you'll be full throated in the republican efforts to investigate the procedures and results?
  23. I'm not sure that's the only two choices is it.
  24. It wasn't all down to that. Hilary Clinton is a particularly obnoxious and dislikable woman which I'm sure had ab awful lot to do with it as well.
  25. I think that would be a really good idea. Let's hope something like that will occur rather than either side being antagonistic towards the other and simply causing greater division. Although Biden seems past it imo, he's certainly better and more moderate than someone like bernie sanders or Elizabeth Warren.
