  1. I remember reading that Martin teams don't do dribbling.
  2. I wasn't disputing that bit.
  3. You said "Bree isn't the best RB in the league". I think many people were of the opinion that he was the best RB in the league last year.
  4. Wasn't he one of the best rbs in the division last year?
  5. You're insane.
  6. The other point with Tino is it's not actually a loss that we will really feel given that he was out for the whole of last year. Obviously would prefer to keep him but it's not the end of the world.
  7. Blimey. Rip their hand off if we get that.
  8. I bet we sell Tino and kwp and sign a new rb or use Bree.
  9. How about Downes and Ings for jwp and 10 million?
  10. I am pleased for you that your desire for red wine was the top priority!
  11. I think we will almost certainly add Perraud, Salisu, ABK and probably DCC as well. Who knows about the rest.
  12. For 200k per week tax free I think I could manage for a year or two.
  13. Nah you can easily make up, some bullshit about being attracted by the project and the vision of the team.
  14. Well yes but this is an Internet web forum with a readership of a few hundred. I'd wager that GB news is a tad more influential.
  15. I'm sure some have been faked but it's not entirely unlikely that the likes of the government's nudge unit would look to change the colours for some weather maps to look to influence behaviour. I've personally got no idea if it is happening though as I don't watch terrestrial telly.
  16. If that amount is correct, then that's absolutely incredible business.
  17. Dan Wotton has always struck me as a right creepy weirdo and a faintly ridiculous human being. Whether that means he's guilty of some of these allegations only time will tell. He is certainly guilty of gutter journalism and a purveyor of gossip so I don't really think his wide availability on the airwaves is a net positive either way. I've seen a few clips of GB News on social media and I think some of it can be interesting- giving a different perspective on some news stories and going out into the country to talk to people for example- but some of it isn't really news and is more entertainment and gossip than anything else. I certainly disagree with odious organisation like Just Stop Hate standing in judgement over them and trying to get them shut down but it's undeniable that there are a few loony personalities on there.
  18. Sorry I'm distracted by your avatar so have difficulty replying coherently.
  19. We could lose 6-0 against Bournemouth and it will be entirely meaningless if we subsequently go and smash Sheffield Wednesday. Yes, failing to finish chances may be an indicator of problems for when the season starts, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and that is how we get on at the start of the season and not before. Aribo scored an incredible goal last preseason and everyone was going nuts about it and then he was rubbish all year. The reverse could happen this year for all we know.
  20. I couldn't care less how we perform against Bournemouth in a preseason friendly as long as we are ready for the season. It may give us an indication but then again it may not.
  21. If true, I don't understand how we can plan properly for the season. You'd hope that the manager can be confident of some of them staying at least.
  22. Yeah I reckon Holgate.
  23. I think it will be interesting to see if something like the City project can translate to something with a smaller budget. Is it the alignment and the setup that gives you the success or is it the endless amounts of cash? Guess we will find out.
  24. What percentage of global emissions is the UK currently responsible for? Should we continue with the banning of petrol and diesel cars for expensive electric vehicles with degrading batteries so less of a second hand market with an electricity infrastructure that doesn't exist? Should we be forcing expensive heat pumps into people's homes and ban gas boilers? Should we ban trips abroad or give citizens carbon credits? The performative climate conferences are just for show. They all swan in in private planes and so called climate ambassadors use helicopters and private cruise ships whilst the poorest are some of the ones hardest hit.
  25. It's not bollocks is it. Are you seriously telling me that if we do what just stop oil and extinction rebellion want, that the likes of China and India will shut down their coal power stations and do a 180 degree turn in the timescale required to make a difference? Of course they won't, they're full speed ahead for their growing middle classes who quite rightly want more for their children and so will continue. The answer isn't to do nothing, it's to put all our efforts into mitigation, technology solutions and to allowing us to live with the effects of climate change. You seem to be saying that if the UK does it we will somehow be able to influence larger nations to such a degree and with such speed that we will be able to stop it. I'm saying that's just not going to happen so then the question becomes what do we do then. That's what we should be talking about. This from six months ago is worth a listen:
