Kwp needs to start every week as well. Perverse that he wasn't the first name on the team sheet. If we play kwp, jwp, bazunu, aribo, Salisu, Bella Kotchap, lavia, and Armstrong then we will do well this year. All of those players have looked decent in Pre season or are proven decent players.

Yes but if it is the case that we had limited funds and our hunt for a striker rested on the possibility of selling bednarek then we should have signed cheaper players in other positions and kept the cash for a striker.

Agreed. If we have signed all these new players and we simply revert to negative defensive football then we might as well have not bothered.

That was also awful but I do understand that to an extent given how long it had been since we got there and given how competitive the mens game is. One of the women pundits was saying something like "pinch me is this real?" which given that we had been in two semis and a final 13 years ago is a bit of a ridiculous thing to say. Saying things like "absolutely everyone is talking about this the country is going to be insane." None of that is true. I'm really pleased they are doing well and it would be great if they win it but overstating the achievement and the level of interest just makes it seem like they have been told to do that by the BBC.

Well I watched this game and I have to say that England looked a lot better than the previous game. I did actually enjoy it more than I thought I would do. Some of the keeping was terrible and the commentary and pundits afterwards were ridiculous hyping it up out of all proportion which ruined some of it for me but overall that was an improvement.

If true (not saying it is) then that's idiotic. Getting an experienced striker in should have been priority number one for the summer.

I can't see Ralph doing much as I'm not a huge fan of his style of play. I think we may have enough to stay up if we get the required offensive reinforcements. I'm going to go with 16th but maybe higher if some of our gambles pay off. Will probably be sacking Ralph though.

The point is you can find cheap and expensive players for the same position all over the place. Using one transfer to West Ham and then saying that proves that Broja would be too much is pretty silly really. All a bit moot though as we won't be signing him anyway imo.
