If you'd swallowed everything on twitter then someone like corbyn would have won the last election by a landslide and not been destroyed. There's now a well established history of people being surprised by things that happen in the real world because they get all their opinions from twitter and think that's somehow a reflection of real life.

I think some people have done a calculation and decided that some short term economic pain and convenience was less important than the ability to be sovereign and have more control back from Brussels. So yes I do think some people will have voted knowing the potential economic consequences. There's likely to be a deal though.

We obviously are trying for a deal. Regardless of whatever is said in the media, both sides still want a deal and its more likely than not that one will magically appear nearer the deadline. We had this whole thing last year with the last deal where everyone said it wasn't happening. Some time in October I expect you'll have panicked headlines about it all falling apart and then you'll have Boris going to meet barnier or someone like that and there will be sufficient movement to bring some sort of deal together. That's where my money is anyway.

I've been on a question of sport with mlt and had a chat with him whilst out for Sunday lunch a couple of years ago. Brilliant bloke and I don't give a shit what he says on twitter. A friend of mine got harassed by Beattie in a nightclub when he was managing. His partner left and he engaged in a lot of innapropriate behaviour culminating in him urinating on himself outside his house. Not a fan. My 2 year old cousin peed in the changing room of David Lloyd about 15 years ago and franny found that very amusing. Everyone knows what a legend he is. Have family members who are good friends with Gordon Watson. He's also sorted me out with tickets a few times. Top bloke. Have met Peter Rodrigues at games and he's a very sweet old man. I have known Andy Surman well in the past. Not only an intelligent guy but someone who was brought up well. Not a typical footballer. His partner laura is lovely too. Met Sam Gallagher on a stag do abroad a couple of years ago. Typical young guy enjoying himself but nothing too bad. Met quite a few others over the years but nothing else that memorable. There's probably lots more but that's all that springs to mind at the moment.
