  1. I can't speak for others but that's certainly not my opinion. I accept he has clear ability which makes the times he underperforms more frustrating. Personally I think it's a mental issue because on his day he's great but he's probably our most inconsistent player.
  2. I expected more and talking to some other fans that was the prevailing opinion from them too.
  3. Exactly. Seems a shame not to give him an opportunity to actually see if he can cut it or not. Doubt we will now though.
  4. I didn't say he was an unsuccessful transfer, I said he's been a disappointment. Has failed to perform more often than not and hasn't shown the same level of improvement of others in the squad.
  5. If Redmond does leave I'd have to say that overall he's been a disappointment.
  6. Have they replaced sue barker? She was always a bit too white.
  7. Bizarre opinion.
  8. surprised they didn't take the opportunity with no crowd to all take the knee.
  9. Are you suggesting that the behaviour was widely known about prior to this complaint and was ignored? Seems like as soon as a complaint was made then the process was followed and they were dealt with. Surely that's a good thing?
  10. Aren't you pleased fhat it was properly dealt with and he resigned in disgrace before he was fired? Is this an example. Of a systemically racist and sexist society?
  11. Completely unacceptable behaviour. Reassuring that those in charge put steps in place to catch them and then sack them. Yet more good news that racism in the UK will not be tolerated in polite society and the workplace. Racists losing their jobs and having clear consequences for their actions will do far more for tackling this sort of thing than taking a knee at the football ever will.
  12. Oh I don't disagree clearly there's two sides to that. Despite that though there's clearly some pretty shocking stuff there and I'd expect to be fired immediately if I conversed with a work colleague like that over texts.
  13. Here's another example of some actual shocking and blatant racism. This is the sort of thing that needs to be rooted out and dealt with harshly. The fact this bloke has lost his job and will most likely be shunned for his disgusting behaviour is clear proof that Britain does not tolerate racism: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-55364729
  14. Has there been examples in football stadiums recently of anti racism gestures that don't involve taking a knee being booed?
  15. Why did Millwall fans boo the first protest and then the following week applaud?
  16. Wow. Let's look at something that's actually incredibly racist:
  17. What did you have an issue with?
  18. See you know that's not the case and yet you framing this like you have just underlines the problem and demonstrates why many are absolutely right to feel aggrieved by the disingenuous and false narrative you are peddling.
  19. Where is racist behaviour acceptable? What racist behaviour specifically are you hoping will be reduced?
  20. Why? Sounded like she gave a pretty decent speech the other day. Seemed like a great start for what was needed.
  21. But they don't view opposing the taking of the knee as racist behaviour which is the entire point. There's some evidence to suggest that it has had a negative effect so actually there could be some harm in it.
  22. What if they combined it with a goose step? Are you a racist if you disagree?
  23. I disagree. I think it's raised the profile of this form of activism and I think it's been viewed incredibly negatively by a significant percentage of fans. I don't think it's furthered any anti racism agenda (and as I pointed out, polls showed that people felt these protests had had an overall negative effect on racial relations so you could argue its actually made things worse.) You accept surely that not everyone who objects to the taking of the knee is a "racist?" The point is that this isn't going to result in a "bit less racism" it's going to increase tensions and probably lead to more racist attitudes in the future.
  24. In fact let's get the whole England team involved. Ten minutes into the first game let's get them all with their kit off reenacting this scene from South Park.
  25. I'd have more respect if Kane travelled to Qatar and then just before the kick off started to fellate Dier in the centre circle whilst Eric had his fist in the air. That would be a powerful statement for sure.
