  1. I heard the other day something about Jackson’s Farm. Yes, we all no there’s little value to it but it could be worth a lot of money to someone into say property development if the restrictions could be lifted.
  2. Spot on. That’s also what I hear. Also a lot of their DD was done back in the days of RL but something stopped them going through with the sale. Now they are back they are serious, the are prepared to throw a lot of lawyers and accountants at it to get it done ASAP but will not pay for an exclusivity period (will abide by what FL say if it takes longer to get to PL then so be it). Don’t know exactly who they are but am told it’s a family with a lot of money and want to do things the right way and keep us a family club. I like what I am hearing so don’t all go out and shoot yourselves yet, the Pinnacle episode could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
  3. We Are Saved ! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4459018.Swiss_group_arrive_for_Saints_talks/?ref=rss
  4. Why is it negative? Whats wrong with fans owning shares if the club is run for the fans?
  5. OK. Here goes. IMHO with no inside knowledge or facts as such just reading on here could this be close to what’s going on. Right back at the beginning MLT said he would support anyone that would take the club forward. Pinnacle saw this as an opportunity to get the fans “onside”, why they need to be onside I will come to later. LC has always made it clear that he would like to be the head man at the club but got into bed with RL and MW who had other ideas. Back at the start Pinnacle said that they had problems when their consortium walked, this left them looking for a new money man, step up LC. We all know that LC has an amount of money but not enough to buy the club but enough to show others that he was serious and enough to pay some solicitors and accountants also enough to bankroll the clubs wages for a couple of months. Next they need to borrow the money this takes time to set up (like buying a house you maybe ready to go but the bank has to transfer the money into you account) so a little stalling is required start a roomer about a fans favorite player/ manager becoming involved, KK, buys a few more days, oh and lets pick an argument with the FL this will buy a few more days. When the money goes into the bank TL and LC can sign and get the keys to the sweet shop, but if this is the case a load of interest will add up daily, so to make the club look as an up and coming investment it is essential that promotion come the end of the season before LC’s money runs out, hence why getting out of the points deduction is so important. When promotion is gained at the end of the season shares in the club can be offered to the fans (hence fans need to be kept sweet) the money raised from this should be enough to pay off the loan, allow TL a nice handshake so he can go back to running his own business again and re-pay LC the money he has spent but still allowing him to hold on to the keys. This is just my thoughts. Probably not like this at all.

  7. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3698322.stm The last of my three posts. Good night.
  8. Come on Trousers Pick up the ball and run with it. Do some of you digging.
  9. My Guess Paul Lynam from RBS.
  10. This may bring a smile to a few faces. I heard at the weekend that the Poopey takeover is faltering and may not go ahead. Apparently there are things in the book that the lawyers are not happy with.
  11. Knowing our luck it’s not a new owner but some hedge fund company or something out to make a fast buck.
  12. Yes, I can respect their wishes. I think I would just feel happier to know that someone knows who they are (other that Mr. Lynam) even if they will not give a name. With that, it’s my 3rd post for the day. Goodnight all.
  13. I think it would help me to know that someone on here does actually know 100% who the man behind Pinnacle is. I would like to know a name but if no one is prepared to give that out then just a conformation that he exists will do I think.
  14. I would just like to start by saying that I’m no way ITK, this is all IMO, but from the start I have had concerns about a few things with the Pinnacle bid. It would be interesting to know if any one else has had the same concerns or is it just me being daft. 1. Why has Mr Fry all along favoured their bid and not taken anyone else’s seriously? 2. Why is it that no one knows who is behind their bid and why do they want to keep it quite? 3. Why if their backer has the kind of money that has been talked about have they gone to a (with the greatest respect) small local broker to do the deal and not a major company from the city? 4. Why has Mr. Lynam been offered a position on the board? What will happen to his own company (Pinnacle) if he accepts? I do hope that my thoughts are unfounded and I mean no disrespect to Pinnacle, Mr Lynam or anyone.
  15. Since the launch of the new OS, I seem to have lost my RSS link. Can anyone tell me how to get it back again?
  16. I thought it said on another thread that they were selling Jones for 20 mill.
  17. Mr. Fry asks for their help, but I would put money on it that he won't tell them any more info about who the buyers are or what's holding up the sale.
  18. Del Amitri Nothing Ever Happens Nothing ever happens, nothing happens at all The needle returns to the start of the song And we all sing along like before
  19. It would be good to hear from "Dogface" and "The Farmer" now. How 'bout it guys.
  20. A genuine question. If the people behind these bids are genuine why is it that they don’t want to be known? The only reason that I can think of is that they fear that by going public it may affect their business, but I don’t see how that could be, infact I would have thought the opposite, They may well be seen as the ‘good guys’ trying to save our club which may give them some positive publicity
  21. Tom Scott - Rupets mate from Jersey.
  22. There must be more financial geniuses per square mile on the Ch Islands than anywhere else in the world. And yet the best we attracted from there to date is Mikey 'COYR' Wilde ! Now come on, That’s just not true, Just 2 weeks ago we attracted a couple of "tyre Kickers" and don't forget the "Jersey Butcher".
  23. The problem is again at the moment the help needed for SFC is all one way. We are again asked to dig deep and buy tickets by LM for the “All Star Match” and I would expect there to be buckets at the game saying “Give To Keep The Club Afloat” but we get nothing back. For example they haven’t told us how long we will need to keep giving for or who are the people behind the bids that we have received. It has been said on here the new owners will offer a more open policy to fans about the club, so why not start now and announce who you are. The main reason people are getting upset (imo) is because of the not knowing.
  24. Was there not talk last time of a Canadian Telecom co. wanting to buy us?
  25. Does anyone know if the other bid went in this morning?
