and if those first 6 games had achieved Adkins' level return (his consistent 2 points per game =12 points) instead of the 4 points we did get, we could currently be 1 point clear of Brighton. This season's frustrations are all about those first 6 games, imho, and think its harsh to criticise Adkins.

Adkins - since MK game when he was walking in door, achieved exactly 2 points per game - not matched by any other club - including Brighton.

Personally I feel the MK game had very little to do with Adkins, just arrived and had been sorting out his move etc - probably didn't even know who half the players were. I accept that is would readily be used in stats in his favour if we had won, so for strict accuracy have always included it. However, ever since MK game Adkins has gained 2 points per game exactly - the highest in the division.
