I don't see lack of preseason, or late into transfer market etc as issues as to how we are doing now- we have hade plenty of time to start moving on - and clearly have (whether quick enough or not is another debate). Only a fool would say it didn't impact the first month or two of the season though, which is the main reason we are so far behind. Agree that we needed to go on a run of victories to have a slight chance of play offs so to that aim it was not a good enough result. Doubt that Cortesse had booked his hotel for the play offs though.

if it doesn't interest you, as it probably won't many,fair enough. Just have more threads slagging off the club and posters, that makes a good forum

point being, this isn't being selective or cherry picking how recent we should look at form, as it includes the whole season and you can choose whether you think the whole season gives the best indication of how we will do next year without -10 (1.6 points per game so top half), last 20 games (1.95 so around automatic), etc

Some have moaned about using differing periods of the season to give us a clue as to how we will do next season so thought would work out our form over the season as points per game. To give you an idea as to how many points per game we would need for various positions currently; 1st 2.09 2nd 2.06 6th 1.78 7th 1.71 midtable 1.15. over the last games we have achieved; (first figure the last so many games I have worked it out over, 2nd points per game) 1 1 2 2 3 1.67 4 2 5 1.8 6 1.67 7 1.43 8 1.63 9 1.44 10 1.60 11 1.73 12 1.83 13 1.92 14 1.86 15 1.73 16 1.69 17 1.76 18 1.83 19 1.89 20 1.95 21 1.86 22 1.82 23 1.87 24 1.83 25 1.80 26 1.77 27 1.74 28 1.68 29 1.62 30 1.60 so form, over the last 20 games shows we will be in the battle for automatic!

clearly shows you know nothing about how we play apart from the results.
