I know its more about getting a blend and team spirit, but not bad start to aim having one of the top two or three for each position for this division. Guessing not far off in a few positions.

It would be hard for Leeds, at top of table and going for auto promotion to stomach selling to team below them. Not sure how well placed they are financially?

bet 365 now has us joint 6th favorite for promotion - so guess they reckon play offs

think you are mixing two rules; dangerous - red card , violent play etc - it wasn't that there were many harsher tackles than that last night. cynical/professional foul - must be an obvious goal scoring opportunity - it wasn't, imho, it was good chance but still plenty of defenders coming in and still a little way out .

its simple isn't it? The 90 game was a draw. The tie / fixture / match /result etc was won. Prior to starting a league game you know the important thing is the score after 90 mins -win/lose/draw. You go into a cup game knowing that the only important thing is the who is going into the next round at the end of the match. Only the winner can go through. We have drawn both games (over the 90). But both matches have been 100% successful and with an end result of us winning the tie/fixture/match and therefore being the team to go through. I changed the title in these threads to "fixtures" rather than games to clarify this. Bottom line is we could not have achieved anything more in these games and so we won.

The term that makes it subjective is "denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity". Think that is read that an almost certain goal - i.e. only had to put it into empty net, hand ball on the line. Think Antonio had a chance to score, but that far out and with other defenders around would expect yellow.
