I'm still quite chilled, most transfers happen in last day of transfer window - and thats teams who had manager/owner in place all summer. Teams have done well building in January transfer window. Not convinced the squads will all be really strong elsewhere. GK - Sorted RB - James (Murty possibly) Murty is keen so AP has than one in the bag unless he feels he can get even better, so RB ok. LB - Harding, Mills, Molyneux, - enough for this league. CB - Perry (Can he play every week? - agree could do with one more CB CB - Thomas plenty good enough for league 1 RM - Sorted (Lallana, Thomson and McLaggon) LM - Mills and Holmes (Holmes stays fit then sorted) if not cover or better needed plus likes of RM, Gobbern, Lallana etc if stuffed for injuries MF - Schneiderlin think Scneiderlin/Gillet could be v good this year but we could do with an experienced playmaker to take pressure off them. MF - Gillet ST - Patterson impressed me a lot against Hearts ST - White - agree need at least one if all others leave.

We filled Dell as you well know. btw season tickets now 10,250 compared with your 8,500 total gate, lol blue few! do you think we will double your attendance for the 3rd tier, as we did for 1st and 2nd?
-
10,250 now.

I do apologise for the worst formatting ever on this forum! Point is, not selective - Corporate, direct comparisons of our recent time in 2nd tier (not really fair on us as ours ended with a relegation and yours with winning the league) but we had 84% more fans than you - both well under ground capacity so that's not a factor. Yes our worst time, with turmoil in boardroom gave us nearly double the crowds you had.
-
it was a skate who came on here (not us on your forum) quoting, wrongly, you are better supported. Not selective - our average for full time in 2nd tier double yours!!!!!
-
feel free to copy my post above into their forum about crowds they seem in denial!
-
at least skates are always good at letting other clubs know who is available.
-
very true - be interested in their bitter take on these facts.
-
ffs worst thread ever.
-
posted on skates thread - looks like all their transfer targets are struggling

skates fail to sign their big Kalinic as they wanted to pay in installments. their hopes for Ross McCormack likely to be disappointed as can't afford fee Zaki signing not imminent but they are getting Neimi http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1203074/Pompey-boss-Harts-turns-attention-Zaki-Niemi-failing-land-Kalinic.html?ITO=1490 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jul/29/portsmouth-pursue-ross-mccormack-cardiff-city they maybe after Pulis soon?!
-
not that its right, but the vast majority of transfers are not only in August but the last 24 hours - and thats teams who had owners in place for ages.

from another thread, possibly why investors don't fancy small debt ridden club... Portsmouth are a big club. Following their relegation from the top flight Portsmouth were in 2nd tier from 1989-2003. Their attendances during this time, averaged (remember this includes just after relegation and also the season they won the division)....11,700. Saints time in 2nd tier, finished with relegation, we averaged an attendance of 21,568. Shame we didn't quite double their crowds! When Portsmouth were in 3rd tier, in 1982 they averaged 8,500. We have so far sold 10,000 season tickets for the 3rd tier - so once again, a like for like comparison -we have double the fans
-
Anti was a very good keeper. But a county mile behind Shilton.
-
fair point, this thread includes racism.

thought you were suggesting old keepers who didn't always try their hardest for some reason;)
