but why did he think that? Must have been very concerned about Crouch -or really impressed with what Lowe was saying. For all the insults can't imagine it was easy decision for him
-
I know this my be hard to do -but bare with me! Apart (I know its impossible to separate) the history and personal dislike - what has Lowe done wrong this time. shut corners - think was last board? get rid of NP - I can see that one (although not totally convinced he would be doing any better but who knows and its been done to death on here!) appoint unknown managers -agree player loans - differcult to judge without seeing the detailed accounts. on the positive, one of the worst things about him last time was his publicity seeking - that seems to have stopped. Genuinely interested in range of opinions -a objective as poss!

Wilde initial campaign was a "lowe out" campaign. He wasn't like Crouch who build up his ownership without declaring his views. He got what wanted when he convinced Crouch to back him. We all know what happened in the following period with the team and the execs. We finished last season, having had a dreadful season for a number of reasons, scraping through but with a bit of optimism both on and off the pitch. The investment Crouch said was imminent didn't happen. Wilde decided that yet another change was needed and obviously felt strongly enough to team up with the man he was so publically seeking to oust, with all the bad feeling and loss of respect that he must have known was inevitable. so why did he feel it was that important? Please try and stay away from insults to all parties and fellow posters expressing a view

I don't understand why, just because you want to keep supporting the team you have for years - irrelevant of who is in boardroom - you are accused of either being a lowe luvvie, or burying your head in the sand. I just feel better when I go, win or lose, and better still when we win
-
longshot -apologies for the half written pm -may laptop battery on the blink so I sent it half written before it dies which will be any sec..........

thats the flaw in the debate if Lowe was saying "lose this one and I am going" then I would have sympathy with "fans" wanting a step back to what they perceive as a step forward. But thats not the case is it? It is a case of someone not liking Lowe more than they like saints and wanting him to fail at all costs. Would he take a 5 victory run if offered? Probably not.

if you support the team you want them to win. If you support various potential board members than you may want them to lose for your purposes i.e. drive the price down. If someone else has the will and money they will come in - and would rather 3 points. You have to wonder what sort of new chairman wants us to be lower before coming in!
-
if you no longer support saints why do you come on here?
-
far from biggest fan -not managed an away game at all this season, but I am still a fan and will continue to support my team and hope they win, looking forward to tomorrow afternoon (although my wife has just had to re-arrange haircut as didn't know had a game this weekend so not too popular!)
-
just had to pop to Portsmouth this morning for work - grey and gloomy as usual, however longshot loads of like minded people down there, maybe you are right!
-
they can't.
-
think it would make a huge impact on crowds, general feelgood factor, press interest etc, this is likely to help the team. whether he would be a good manager who knows. also -can't see it ever happening, he has dropped huge hints that he will manage Newcastle one day, they are premiership, his club, richer by far, better supported, where he lives and would be welcomed there as a god -can't imagine he would even answer the phone to a job offer from us:(
-
you might be lucky and they might sign for the new club you are supporting;)
-
agree. Forum for saints fans. Saints fans will never support the other team. You are not supporting saints and therefore place my interest in your opinions on here together with likes of mack rill and the skates. Support saints tomorrow and always.

we were talking about the fact that level of involvement is less of interest if its working. I was only trying to say that it is impossible to say whether whatever the level of involvement JP suffers is effecting us as we were always likely to struggle with no players.
-
its also against rules for clubs to have an interest in player registered elsewhere. Arsenal didn't buy him or agree to do so, its just silly. That may have looked at him, and may buy him in future, who knows. If they wanted him in the summer they would have bought him and could have immediately loaned him to us
-
relevant not is the level of involvement but the fact that it makes us unable to do a like for like comparison as to whether Lowes perceived level of involvement is effecting results - as we now have less able players

If we are still in bottom three at the end of january......

isn't Wotte sort of replacing likes of Prost? I know roles have changed but didn't think he was additional -
also what is a director of football? its only a name, there has always been someone on board supervising football matters. We know he has not met until recently a lot of the players or do team talks etc so is not coaching or anything - but where line is drawn who knows?
-
maybe, like someone said if it works its good if it doesn't then its a bad idea! trouble is with all finance issues how much better could it be working under any structure -we can't tell.

having just heard the ramblings of Adams on sky sports I wouldn't get too ****y! -
perhaps its just on here that the roles aren't clear? They maybe perfectly clear!
-
think there are quite a few in 1) who are getting more blinded! 2) not sure if any in 2 now scooby has gone and think most would go along with 3.
-
I defend him against the ott personal abuse and made up stories e.g. the team talk one last week -shown to be made up to be mischievous, this one -made up same reasons. But I would welcome a change for the better as I thought we had before but the unrealistic moaning has gone from being too negative IMHO, to now just obsessed and comical. Not aimed at all, some good debates last night without any name calling just different opinions
