when we used to be good and loan out players to likes of Bournemouth -I believe we used to keep paying at least some of their wages. It may well be the case for Cork and Pekhart -subsidised wages and no fee (only guessing as they are developmental loans supposed to benefit the owning club) likes of Rasiak, John and Saga are not for development for our benefit and guess we may receive a fee as well as save wages. Don't know this is current situation but would fit with our circs

still would say more likely we end up in same division as you rather than 2 apart! It wasn't comfortable last year -we were sh1t -thats why we can't be distraught about changing players and management. think the main thing is not age of players, manager, formation but the simple thing of not enough good players in form. (younger players do tend to have less consistent form). Whether the lack of players is due to money, Lowe or managers choice is another issue. Think Gobbern didn't look ready yesterday, but did well last week and if he had been kept out by BWP sure there would equally be a lot of moans.

Southampton's French teenager Morgan Schneiderlin is a target for Premiership clubs. Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are following for former Strasbourg midfielder. Schneiderlin has made a big impact on the South Coast and that has alerted United and Spurs, while Fulham are also thought to be prepared to offer £5million for the France Under-19 captain. The lengthening queue of clubs means Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will have to bring forward his planned move for Schneiderlin, even though a rookie defensive midfielder would not seem to be at the top of an Emirates wanted list.

don't really understand your bit about shop window? Yes young players doing well are likely to be subject of bids but what is the point of them if they don't play? Think JP gave some partial reassurances about January this week. Part of what Lowe said was that we would be seen as a place that the likes of Chelsea would want to loan players to to develop them. Yes it benefits them in the long term but we hope to get better players in the short term. It does seem that some are used more than they are ready for though. In the past young players play odd games then back to reserves etc now once in they are part of first team set up.

Lallana has had some very good games this season -although would say his form recently has not been as good. KD by a mile player of season so far.
