thanks for your comments. I really don't think its is important who is in the boardroom -so much as what they do, I couldn't care if it was Lowe, Crouch, Salz or even Mandaric as long as we could go back to football matters
-
I would be happy with that. You paint me as a Lowe luvvie just because I understand we have financial constraints and we do not know the full story -so what I add is often devils advocate about the flawed logic where people are so anti Lowe. The trouble is, with what you say above, is we have heard it before. I don't mean from you but from Wilde, Crouch, Trant, Hoos etc. As I have said many times I welcomed the demise of Lowe and had a drink with Lee Hoos and discussed the new era and he was listing figures of likely investment. It didn't happen. If it is a positive move forward, with guarantees this time, I would welcome never hearing Lowe's name again (unless he bought the skates!). But without that I personally can see no benefit in campaigning for him to go to leave a power vacuum, more chaos etc

quite possible that we are not pay all of Pekharts/Cork's wages. I know that when we were premiership and sent players out to gain experience we didn't make the "smaller" club pay all salaries. We are now that smaller club! Guess their wages are far short of John. It is the age old arguement on value of players - easy if a player is gauranteed form and club results, touble is none of us have a clue how much John is on, nor how tight money really is. If he is on a lot and it makes difference between administration or not, no-one can criticise the decision. If he is not, or we are not that close, we should all be questioning it. Trouble is we don't know .

The obvious person to take the helm if Lowe goes is Crouch. If Crouch would definately be better and with the financial restraints make a difference then great. If he would be much the same or worse I don't want yet another change. So what difference would Crouch make? I don't particularly care about the "he's a fan and will therefore unite the fans" angle, I mean in actually running the club. Not pro/anti Lowe/Crouch arguement but genuine question.

agree with most -Wright as RB -but, depending on whether Cork settles there but think our midflielders are better. I would say that James is still easily better than Oslund. I like II but not sure (like Svensson etc)how many games we would have out of him
-
John and JP both wanted him to stay forced by hierachy and finances no surprises http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3792704.Jan__Stern_went_to_reduce_the_wage_bill/

it was an interesting insight, but saying it doesn't say what you say it says is not splitting hairs! Obviously things have moved on and the board may be supporting exactly the role you suggest - but that says as per the last ten years
-
not in denial about anything, don't know what went on -well didn't til you posted saying it was to return to the role he had for the previuos ten years. Stop looking for battles that aren't there!
-
was there meant to be a scandal in there?
-
the club needs to 1) to keep solvent in the short-term (ideally long as well) 2) inject some posivity unfortunately I think, without investment, continuity with Lowe/Cowen are capable of 1, unfortunately Lowe us definately not the one to inject positivity. Still think that Lowe's departure would add far less to the gate than 3 victories - both just as unlikely!
-
doesn't say director of football -as we understand the role -but the director managing the manager/managing football side of PLC. Also says as Lowe has done for 10 years -therefore implying same role he had with Strachen, Hoddle, Dave Jones etc. Doesn't look earth shattering
-
what did you mean changed? all looks fairly civilised. Explains why AC has never taken over and is not a replacement as says himself that he is not the one to run the football side of business
-
no, still think he has been good for us and wouldn't swap him. A GREAT keeper plays well every game -do you know one who wants to come here
-
possibly loan fee was paid?

knowing us, lose first three then stuff Reading and Wolves!
-
fed up and not excited about it -even in bad times I normally am -but will be going, hopefully bit more positive by then
-
can't remember a single other poster wanting NP to be replaced
-
does it involve drinking and a brothel?
-
wasn't it only Scooby who was saying that?
-
It would be great to move the club forward but look at how Newcastle's fans protests are making things worse -and that is with a club alledgedly with alternative owners -we haven't
-
administration scares me and I hope it doesn't happen -but the only justification of the drastic cost cutting is to avoid it, so either we have been close or the decisions are short-sighted and wrong
-
Davies? Never could remember which one was Davis/Davies -good job we sold him!
-
"if we still had Rasiak, Saganowski, John, Safri, Davis and Vignal we would have done better"?
-
yes but apart from that we are ok;)
