  1. ...........ummmmmmmmmmm..sorry NickG can't think of a positive slant on that one/todays situation!
  2. reckon you are right
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10795 line up
  4. think it was described as tightness and hoped would be completely ok by Saturday
  5. bottom line is we are all totally guessing based on feeling depressed -there is a big difference to cost cutting, redundancies etc and administration, it doesn't look good but who knows how close? None of us on here.
  6. played for West Ham, QPR, C Palace, Fulham and Luton -but described as ex-Southampton forward -we must still be sort of well known!
  7. get past the "arrogant saints" headline as they mean it as a positive! Welsh National daily report on saints http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/swansea-city-fc/2008/10/25/martinez-targets-scalp-of-arrogant-saints-91466-22113383/

    Lowe out

    ?? why?
  9. NickG

    Lowe out

NP v JP can see the debates RL v LC - my, depressing, view is that neither would be much different -we are already broke
  10. well said, regret a lot of things about saints but supporting them and continuing to do so, is not one of them. You rather watch skates on MOTD your choice
  11. I think there were probably better ways of solving this but is really hard with half the facts
  12. heard a rumour, Shearer wants to manage - Newcastle, only rumour (source -every newspaper, radio and tv station and hints by him) Can't see him choosing us over NU in million years
  13. he maybe arrogant, opinionated, poor at managing managers etc- but do you really think his policy is to seek relegation? If you do you have lost it
  14. your happy clappy was just goading. As said the odds are we won't go down for all the reasons listed in that thread.
  15. the realistic (only teasing!) prediction is we will be lower table -based on current form and current league table, We may go down but at the moment the odds are we wont so adminsitatration surely would be a bad thing.
  16. I don't know but I asked Hone about. He may have lied to me but at least I heard it direct from him. He said that Crouch never paid any money into the lcub. He said he did make an investment offer but the terms of it were a loan that he could recall at anytime and which the board could not accept. There were other conditions mentioned but I can't remember. I appreciate he was biased and I cannot prove it but he said Crouch's suggestion that he offered investment was misleading. I don't know whether to believe it or not but would suggest that it was so detailed and open that someone at that level of experience would not risk making it up. I have nothing against Crouch. My first comment was a joke. I have explained my jealousy of other benefactors and also that Lowe appears to show no public interest in investing or seeking investment
  17. he was a free transfer -wages are independant of transfer fees -just ask Sol Campbell!
  18. to make it clear though -why should he? I don't criticise him for not putting money in -I don't put my money in, it is just frustrating when you hear of benefactors at other clubs and we have Lowe showing no interest and Wilde/Crouch getting our hopes up then nothing.
  19. apparently is was a conditional loan
  20. think you are probably right. Unfortunately without the facts which we are never given we can only make a football decision -which would be he is a benefit to the squad. If it was as drastic as the saving and any loan fee is saving us from administration then of course he was to go. Doubt it is that black and white though
  21. think we all know and can save mods the time of creating and us the time of voting!
