and after 8 games, when we had both played same amount of games and Adkins had just arrived we were 9 points behind. Adkins has delivered champion level performance since his arrival, just a shame, yet again, about the early season handicap. I think if we had not had the change of management and Markus' tragic demise we would have been clearly ahead of Brighton.

Since Adkins made this comment Brighton have only just managed to keep up with is now. They have matched us for points, although they played one game more. They have been impressive since. We have been better. What do you think Gus?

so Brighton have shown they cannot keep up with an Adkin's saints. they should have given us a guard of honour as the best side in league one (after their little headstart!)
-
agree mk games but by time winner went in think already thought we could do it - was more when we pulled it back

brilliant -
Good seasons and played a significant role ; Butterfield / Guly / Jaidi / Harding / Morgan / Barnard - all had good seasons and played important part Two partticularly good this season; Lambert / Davis But two stand out contenders for me, and very close but; 1) Fonte 2) Lallana
-
Thanks, but how did you find out?

In short, watching every game at St Marys this season: Saints - played some lovely football Brighton - least attractive an interested in playing good football of any team, did well to get 1 point off us this season. Adkins matched Poyet and out thought him in head to head games.
-
Look forward to thanking Brighton for four valuable points then beating Hudds to promote us - their fans would hate that!
-
they won't want their season to drift out with 1 point from 3 games and the gap closing - their chip will be doing overdrive!

Swindon Town chairman Andrew Fitton has resigned with board director Jeremy Wray taking over the reigns. Fitton took over the club in 2008 after a consortium, of which he was part, bought it from previous owner Sir Seton Wills and his son James Wills. Wray joined the board of Swindon Town at the same time. The board, including Fitton, are due to meet with manager Paul Hart on Thursday morning to discuss his future following Swindon's relegation from League One. As part of the takeover Fitton and the consortium paid off a £900,000 bill to HM Revenue and Customs. The club were also at serious risk of defaulting on their payment before he took over so effectively saving the club from going under. It was also revealed one of Fitton's backers was Sir Martyn Arbib , a 67-year-old Henley-based businessman worth an estimated £370m. It is understood he will still be part of the club but he is stepping down from his role as chairman due to a hectic work schedule.
