FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics
FMPR replied to SO16_Saint's topic in Computer Games
I bet you I don't and never have done. Suggest you play a game with 10.3 and see how optimistic I am -
If the CVA is agreed as per League rules why can anyone complain that we are not punished.
-
They cannot, the other money by law is not taxable so they have no right to claim it
-
How would you do it then Geneva? Apply for permission to the Premier league to sell players outside the transfer window? How do you make teams buy your players? I know how about cancelling contracts? Darn that means I have to pay compensation so not actually gaining anything there at all. I know I will make staff redundant, done that (yes I know I have kept on Storrie but how do I know what termination clauses are in his contract). So then any other bright ideas?
-
Name me one Pompey fan who wants him around?
-
13 players out of contract, redundancies of staff
-
But 9k is a Top League One wage its not a championship budget. Cannot remember who it was but remember reading when Charlton went to sign someone in the Championship (forward from Crewe iirc) there opening gambit was 15k a week and that was just a squad player.
-
Yet Lambert who has played League One and below his entire career is on £9k a week plus goal bonus I suspect. Most normal people would be happy with that however football is a different beast. How much do you think Fonte is on or has he only come down the coast for the view?

What date is the cut off date?

Different Ownership and Managment, same old summer

Gareth Gwillim [Histon - Dagenham & Redbridge] He was apparently getting £800 per week 5 levels below the conference. A bit of an assist king by all accounts -

Totally agree with Alpine the club should have signed at least 4 players by now. Cortese out -
Would be a great signing for your lot
-
Funnily enough this kind of thing happened with pompey too, go figure
-
Crouch and Defoe for me. They play together very well, yes they are nowhere near as talented as Rooney but they work well. For the group stage I would go with them and then for the knockout put Rooney up front by himself with Gerrard Cole Lennon behind him
-
Heskey is in the team to provide someone to hold up the ball and bring others into play. How many strike partnerships have both strikers scoring 20 goals each. One creates, one scores
-
Why should the club give interest free loans in effect? Means the club loses money.
-
Or there might be only one automatic spot next year from League One
-
Surely for people who were intending to renew you would have been mentally and financially prepared to put your hand in your pocket about March/April time and have since had another 2/3 months to come up with some money. Just think of how much the season ticket will be going up if your promoted
-
Apparently our American hosts are picking up the tab. Our fans questioned this potential expenditure as well
-
Last post of the day. But football is unlike 99.9% of business and does ened propping up from wealthy people or backers. But its catch 22 about fan base, if you have a decent largish stadium you can set prices to attract more fans. So until you can get one you cannot expand or foresee what possible fan base a club might have. Obviously success brings fans in as well. Someone asked yesterday about our wage budget. By my calcs we are at £21m per annum now or £219k a week OVER our forecast £192k a week wage budget.
-
In all honesty Gaydamak told us about 3 years ago that none of the debts were against Portsmouth in a radio interview on the Quay. Now obviously in hindsight that was a total lie and fans were taken hook, line and sinker.
-
Any new owner should be able to cover basic running costs though or have access to finance to cover them. They had done DD or supposedly had done it so they knew what the wage bill was. Look at Man Utd, owners have "bought" a club with no previous debt and now its £700m in debt because they secured the finances against future income and didnt put a penny in themselves. Yes the owners are Fit and Proper but should they have been allowed to buy the club and put it in such a bad state financially. Think they have had £70m in additional interest payments this year which bascially is the Ronaldo fee wiped out.
-
Would be a magnificent gesture from your owner if that indeed happened
-
Having followed Pompey for a fair few years would you care to explain bit by bit how we got in debt because most Pompeys fans I know are gobsmacked how we got into so much debt despite the fact we sold nearly £80m worth of players last year...
