5 calender days Ron, or 5 working days which would be Tuesday.
-
Could the judge still hold the court hearing on monday as the notice was today, so needs 5 (presumably) working days before an administrator can be appointed, ie Tuesday so I presume they won't be in administration on Monday.

Just having a look at CVA figures, 75% approval, HMRC debt now about £18m in total plus £8m in july makes £26m ish which means unless the debt is over £100m they can block any CVA. It is safe to assume that the salaries alone will take care of the income. The FA receive the Sky money and will pay that direct to the clubs owed about £12m at the end of the season, so how are they going to make this work as most of the best players are loans. We know how difficult it is to get high earners off the payroll. Paying them off won't be an option and the football debts have to be paid in full. I'd be interested to know if a notice of administration trumps an ajourned court hearing.

Insignia, not pub, and he's not picking me up, just interested.

They are not next to each other. There is a unit between them. Shown on BBC South news tonight.

FFS forget the politics, apart from world wars has this country ever been in a bigger mess? Printing money, incredible debt, uncontrolled immigration, political correctness gone mad, hospitals - centres for catching diseases not curing them, etc, time for a change I think.

Sanity was never a required qualification for running a country.

What if- The judge considers Chanrai's freehold for £10m illegal and reverses the deal. As the major (90%) shareholder/owner he has sold the freehold to himself. I'm no insolvency expert so I'd be interested to know in the light of the ajournment and the forthcoming winding up hearing, whether the company can act without referring to the judge. Also why should Chanrai settle £10m of his debt whilst disposing of an asset that would go against the debt to the winding up applicants already sub judice.

Does today's excellent performance and result prove..

The Chairman was looking forward to a win at Norwich. That concentrated the minds. MKD, Pompey, and today we have set up and played positively. All after the Chairman's comments. We have set up and played negatively far too often, consequently the football has been pretty poor at times. If Pardew would make his default position positive and give it a go, like he is now doing, he could yet become successful. It may be too late, but if he gives it his best shot in the remaining games and doesn't revert to negativity, we could yet make the play offs by winning nearly all our games. -
Most appearances in a winning team. but that doesn't tell the whole story. ie Davis as the percentage would give Bialkowski a better record.

A FamiliarFace playing against us next week at Wycombe
derry replied to John B's topic in The Saints
He looked pretty good against Cardiff towards the end, a game we won. -
So I take it then, if we only take two points from the first four games next season that most people will consider the playoffs out of reach again. A lot has been made of the effect of minus 10 points, dropping 10 points in the first four games would not be the same but be similar in relation to the top six places.

Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?
derry replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
When we signed him Pardew said he was excited about what he had heard but that he hadn't seen him. -
I think Cortese's published comments were a measured response to Pardew's quotes in the Observer/Guardian site article the previous day. Also a shot across the bows because of the differing targets.

Weston and FF had heard previously about the pressure Pardew was under and posted pointers on here as I did. A couple of weeks ago Pardew was widely quoted on the Sunday in the Observer/Guardian site regarding the pressure he was under and that he was going to do it his way. On the Monday am BBC Solent Sports published a statement from Nicola Cortese stating the priority is the league and that the league results are not satisfactory. Since then Pardew has made several comments which would have been best not said and now it looks to me that the remark about 18 months is a measure of his concern. If a Chairman makes an appointment and lays down priorities that are not met, it then leads to repercussions. Clearly a Chairman, once he feels that the objectives are not being met has to decide if they will be met and if the answer is negative then a change is invariably made. At the moment my feeling is that the jury is still out and that the Chairman is giving the rest of the season to come to a resolution. IMO if we don't clearly demonstrate that we can win the league next year having not been promoted this year then there will be a change. I doubt that if there is any doubt about next season that it would be left until halfway through the season before changing which could waste another year. That wouldn't be acceptable to Cortese who is probably on a multi million incentive to get us to the Premier League in a prescribed timescale.
-
The ambition of our billionaire owner is the Premier as soon as possible, because of that nearly all the players here at the moment are now just passing through. Sooner rather than later they will be replaced by better players and Davis is no different from the others.

I wasn't talking about yesterday.

With the tax bill going up at the rate of about £1.25m every month and the salaries at £1.8m every month with a match income of about £1.2m every month, Gaydamak's defaulted £9m, Chainrai's £17m, HMRC's £11.5m and rising, Stage payments of £12m by the end of May even Vantis will struggle to justify not winding up.
-
A lot of the late goals come about because we stop passing and going forward and try to tighten up by defending deeper. This hands the initiative to our opponents and puts us under pressure. That, together with bringing 10 players back to defend corners, means with our forwards milling around not properly picking up, our big men don't have the room to attack the cross in the crowded penalty area and players steal in for free headers as the forwards aren't marking. It would be better to leave 2 or even 3 up on the halfway line which would leave probably only 3/4 opponents to attack the cross. Then if it is cleared allows quick counter attacks a la Pompey yesterday rather than coming straight back into the box.

I think we have to go for it but as Pardew is a bit safety first I can see the one or two centre backs plus Puncheon for Antonio.
-
Utd, Arsenal, 6 West Ham 4 especially. Liverpool 0 only two going down. I can see writs flying if they try to do it.
-
I sit reasonably close to Pardew and now and again he makes the odd gesture but most of the time he makes notes. There are times he needs to change things and doesn't. Colchester and Brighton were typical, he anticipated battling against big men and picked that sort of side. They played nippy strikers but we didn't change and were beaten.

Soon only one team in Hampshire!
