I thought our defence might have pushed up 10 yards and condensed play so as to make our greater quality count, especially the last half hour when they had a defence made up entirely of full backs. Agree about Azaz. He’s clearly one of the quality players we need to get on the ball much more in areas where we can punish shite teams like them.

“The pinnacle of any season is the chance to play against Southampton “ Here is a club of very limited ambition. It might be flattering if it weren’t them.

Days before the derby which we are all desperate to win to salvage something from a rotten season, we find out the team captain wants to leave, apparently even as soon as the current transfer window.

I was contacted by the FSA after I posted my opposition prior to the first bubble at FP. They asked whether I’d be willing to challenge it in court, to which I responded I would if they were willing to fund it. That was the last I heard from them.

Freely admit I’m not the best judge of a keeper but I thought he was at fault for both their goals. Won’t comment further as we’ll see how he goes but keeper is such a key position I just hope we haven’t signed another duffer.

You’d have been a brave man to have celebrated that goal. I was in the Milton and the Archers was packed with very noisy villa fans who brought hundreds of balloons.

Didn’t compete. Missed Fellows helping the team get up the pitch. Way too many passes. What happened to moving the ball quicker? Should have gone 4 at the back early on to get an extra man in midfield. When it’s shit or bust, what do we get? Constipation football. Oh, and it took me 6 hours to get there. For that.

I didn’t go the last time there was a bubble and I won’t be going this time. In the past, I’ve been there by train or occasionally driven; parked the car, walked to the ground, walked back, never a problem. I object to the insinuation that I can’t be trusted to make my own way to a sodding football match or can’t behave myself.

Fellows has become decent at stopping crosses. He did a particularly good job at Millwall. When he went off, Millwall attacked at will down that side. I’m not sure what you mean by electric pace (Jonno?) but again Fellows has pace and, double benefit, he can carry the ball at pace. He and Scienza as ball carriers cutting in from wide areas and attacking through the middle at pace is a big plus, Birmingham couldn’t deal with it. Less said about Manning’s defending the better.

Manager designate was the term used.

He got a couple of digs off the ball when the ref’s back was turned on Saturday.
-
No you didn’t.

When would you expect a club to market half season tickets if not, ya know, halfway through the season; well, just in advance (and for Christmas)?
-
After the game.

Do you mean Richie Bitchlicker?
-
Their number 12 was good.

Here’s a compelling argument as far as I’m concerned. I have no objection in principle to his Portsmouth connections but in practice very much. Should the tin eared twats of SR appoint him, he’d have no leeway with results, style of football or anything else the fans didn’t like. The fans would be straight on his back. His appointment would add to whole extra layer of risk to the most important appointment at any football club, one which SR keeps ballsing up. If they want to protect their investment don’t appoint O’Neill.

Now that is good news. A model professional who I sincerely hope will have quiet words in the shell likes of those pussies that don’t put the effort in. Even at walking pace he can sit in front of that leaky defence and shore things up.

Good episode that. Gloves were off, understandably so. Nice one fellas.
-
I watched some of that. Both sides were crap. How we failed to take more than a single point of those two is criminal.
-
Yeah bullshitting.
-
Because we are not a football club, we are……*SOUTHAMPTON*

It didn’t take much for it all to unravel did it? A shit equaliser gifted to them and everyone and everything goes to pieces. There’s a terrible lack of discipline, character, leadership and basic will to win in too many of these players. And the manager just seems confused. He’s confusing the fuck out of me anyway.
