Looks like he'll be a very welcome addition to the team, looking forward to seeing just what he can do in a Saints shirt.
Good to see that our stance on VvD isn't stopping us from being able to buy these sorts of players just yet too.
That's more or less the point I'm making. We could hold him to his contract.
We're not the ones in the wrong here, and if VvD decided to kick up a stink even more, I don't think he'd have many people siding with him.
Thing is, if we hold firm and keep him, is he really prepared to sit on his arse for 5 years? If we were picking him for the team, he'd be in breach of contract and liable for fines if he doesn't play.

Is the article, nothing new in there as far as I can see.
Of course he hasn't been tapped up, he's just come out with this all off his own back...
At least when we keep hold of him now it won't cost us so much.
Yeah, was just starting to break through to the first team when he got the ACL injury as well, appeared on the bench a couple of times, without coming on.
It's really good to see him back and fighting back to that sort of form again.
Obvious to anyone that Klopp isn't happy with his defence with Europe to contend with now.
Sounds like damage control after finally realising that VvD isn't going there to me.
Sounds like the Chelsea rumours are gathering a bit of pace.
Still just rumours though.
Chelsea would certainly be more palatable, considering two of our best players have come from them recently.
I'd still be keeping him here though, gambling on him getting his head down and playing. Less of a gamble than trying to bring in a replacement with this little time left before the end of the transfer window for me.
