  1. Yep. Saints recent form and being 5 points off 12th gives us a few extra routes to safety than you’d normally expect for a team that’s bottom at this stage of the season.
  2. Looking at RedCafe, you can tell the baseline for refereeing that they’re used to seeing at Old Trafford.
  3. We’re playing well enough to stay up, that’s an excellent point to pick up. Picking up all three would have been massive, but making up a point on 12th this weekend does quite a lot for our chances of getting ahead of three teams.
  4. If Brentford just manage to find something, it’s not looking too bad a set of results…
  5. Obviously a terrible result for us, but at least clearly demonstrates just how tight it is in the relegation battle this season. Any team picking up a few results from somewhere will suddenly look relatively comfortable, and Saints have already started doing that under Selles.

You’ve consistently shown just how daft you are are, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but are you really trying to imply that damage in a warzone means that Ukraine has fallen?
  7. Terrible news, hope they catch whoever did it as quickly as possible.
  8. Yep, thought of the exact same question myself. I’d go through both 9-0s again without a second thought before ever even starting to consider 7-0 against Pompey.
  9. Man Utd fans won’t live that one down easily. Almost feel sorry for any that have to see Liverpool fans at work tomorrow morning.
  10. 9-0 anyone? Even as it is, 6-0 is ridiculous in a derby game.
  11. The table doesn’t lie at this stage, every team from 12th down has problems, it’s a proper scrap this season.
  12. Got some of the bad luck back from the early games in the season where we were robbed in more than a few games. One point off safety and we’re well and truly back fighting in the relegation battle.
  13. Even with the ref obviously wanting this result, no excuse for not sweeping this bunch of utterly irrelevant cheating ****s aside.
  14. Blimey. Bad day.

One year on. Ukraine still stands.
  16. Was the voice of football for me growing up, it’s a sad day. RIP
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64718305 Been an excellent tournament from England to retain the trophy, albeit not against the strongest opposition. The unbeaten run under Weigman goes on, 29 games with only 9 goals conceded in those games.
  18. What was that from Pope!?
  19. Never. Ever. EVER. Include Saints on an accumulator.
  20. So that’s a third of our points this season so far from Chelsea Fantastic win. Although it looks like results haven’t gone our way today, come the end of the season we might be glad of some of the teams that lost today if they get dragged back in. Mara perhaps would have seen red on another day, but he’s clearly going for the ball, and unlike with a reckless tackle, clearly has no idea the player’s there. Azpilicueta was just wrong place wrong time. I absolutely refuse to believe that a season where we’ve done the double over Chelsea is a season we get relegated. We’re getting out of this.
  21. That was a bloody good first half! JWP… nothing really needs to be said at this point. Ridiculously good.
  22. That’s… actually impressive
  23. Must have thought that Salah wouldn’t be able to get onto the cross. He’s had a nightmare there.
  24. Everton probably should have scored there. One hell of a counterattack though, and Everton’s problem all season has been missing even their best chances.
  25. As bad as Jones’ results with us were, he still had a better record in 2023 than Klopp has so far. Slightly surprising that Liverpool look the far better team against Everton so far
