So - 25 days left is it? Tick tock. Lets have a look at this - Player 1 is the first to cave in and 'does a deal'. No way he gets paid out immediately - will have to wait until the cashflow arrives - after Chinnys CVA is adopted. Player 2 hangs on. Club gets liquidated. Player 2 gets a payout from the PFA based on his full contract value, Player 1 gets a substantially reduced sum based on his revised entitlement. So why be Player 1? They are £u

Meet up and try a few bars Saturday 21st then? Shall we say 5pm at the Pig and Whistle? -
And we have Awford saying their 3 new youth signings aren't strong enough to be in the first team squad at 18. FFS take note FL - they are about to take the p!33 yet again

Anyone want to do a rough stab at how much they spent on player wages, whilst they failed to pay any creditors from CVA1, and then ultimately blew off over 100M of debt in CVA2? Just so we can quantify the level of Sporting Advantage for anyone who might be perusing this thread.

Matt getting back to me re 21st asap. Lets give it a week and then see. -
The football creditors have to accept they are not going get what it is they are claiming now in full," Fanshawe said. "Trevor Birch (administrator) knows the number but that figure of £24 million has to be reduced by two thirds or more before there is going to be an acceptable deal on the table. "Unless you pay these particular creditors, who are in general players and agents, the Football League does not allow you to retain your position in the league." So, they need a deal with the football creditors to the tune of about $16M, or they are liquidated. If they do the deal, they break the football creditors rule and lose the Golden share. But at the meeting in Gibraltar it was not deemed that they were 'unlikely to fulfil their fixtures'. Other clubs might justifiably ask wtf is going on.

PFA liability is surely covered by an Insurance policy? The cost of Pompeys liquidation in terms of football creditors would therefore be borne by PFA subscribers in the form of increased future premiums.
-
They get nothing from Pompey. Birch being economical with the truth. I think their money is guaranteed from a PFA central fund if there is a liquidation. Or if they reach a compromise that involves not paying them in full the FL will hammer them with penalties. I recall them relegating Swindon 2 divisions for some misdemeanour. So Birch will probably try to bend the rules by saying the compromise involves full payment, but spread over the next 25 years or so, interest free. I know what my preferred option would be as a player. Hence the lack of movement out the exit door.

If thats true - Birch's actions in even applying shout so loud I can't hear anything else he is saying. Toast.

Paul G and I were talking this through Saturday at the rugby. If you put four Saturdays you can make up here, Paul G and I will sort between us which two work best for the two of us, then I will contact a few others and sort with Matt and anyone else who can make it can turn up to Moos in Brissie too. At least that way we get 4 of us minimum. Either that, or it ain't gonna happen I reckon. -

Might be up for the knock out games if we make it. Work tomorrow at 7:30 on the Gold Coast so a 4am finish in a pub in Brissie is pushing things! Enjoy! -
I am starting to think the end game will come sometime after 21 June when Pini Zahavi puts in a WUP for unpaid wages to his client. they won't be able to pay and Chinny will stack his cards. No fourth admin, just straight around the U Bend.
-
Offer conditional on players giving up lottery win sized sums recoverable from the PFA in the event of a liquidation. CVA is an irrelevance. Chinny must be his Mothers Pride.
-
Blimey - if i was Forecast I'd be working seriously hard to ram the words of WSC and all you lot right back down your throats. if ever a bloke needed motivation, it's here in spades. Good luck Tommy. FFS.
-
The CVA is sort of irrelevant if they can't shift the high earners. There ain't no shuffling off your liabilities under the FCR. Unless Chanrai has agreed to underwrite all the salaries, including the deferred amounts, they are probably buggered anyway.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) could be the day. 4 days of bank holidays and everyone open for business again, wonder if PKF are going to open the doors and keep haemorraghing cash? Gotta be any day soon - why not tomorrow. C'mon trev, put the green screens up and call the guy with the big gun. You know it has to happen.
-
Amazing that the article doesn't raise the critical point. The players aren't going to walk away from their contracts as they know that if the club goes pop they gat paid in full under the FCR. They are fooked.
-
It is my understanding that in liquidation the outstanding sums due to players under the FCR are settled from a central fund. PFA I believe. Probably underwritten by insurance. But they weren't expecting a $2M hit from one player for sure. So Zahavi and Ben Haim can just wait until they go pop. Any moment soon......I'm sure of it. PKF are starting to become liable......

This was meant to be the week of all weeks as some promised. But instead what has transpired is Birch having the confidence and cheek to not even show up AND STILL claim that they will be allowed to compete in League 1 and without a points deduction and all. The Football League continue to be trampled on, abused, mugged and even accused while the other clubs seemingly pretend nothing is going on. Conspiracy? Likely. Something isn't right that's for sure. Any other business, any other football club, and you could be sure that punishment would be more severe. What is it that Portsmouth has over the FL? Video footage of Lord Mahwinney sexually assaulting his pet cat? A document that proves the FL are secretly hiding weapons of mass destruction on behalf of an unnamed middle eastern country? A photograph of Kony bringing his child soldiers into Football League HQ for some 'work experience'?
-
This. This is why TBH isnt going anywhere. He knows PFC can't pay so his best chance of getting his hands on what most of us would consider a sizeable Lottery win lies in seeing them go bust and the insurance of the football creditors scheme paying out the jackpot. It's a straight stare out between Birch/ Chanrai and TBH/Zahavi. And every day the situation gets worse for Creditors. I know where my money is. Cheerio DFCSB's. Big sigh of relief heard from Portugal.
-
Blatter is an idiot. World cup to Qatar FFS what was he thinking. Now the Germans lose on penalties and there he goes again. The sooner he falls under a tank the better. Btw Chelsea played for pens from the first minute - as well as a great defensive performance, they also put a stain on the game with their refusal to attack. to me to you to me to you to Cech to me to you is no way to play football. If everyone did that no-one would watch it.
-
The directors of any businesses dealing with football clubs on anything but a cash on delivery basis need their heads examined. Footballs credit rating must be lower than a snakes belly in a cart wheel rut.

Never met a decent Pompey fan, ever. They have all been ****s without exception.
