A good point well made. I would imagine, if they have capped anything, it'll be the time-related fees. Any disbursements would be added extras, and with the way this court case is going (or not), those are going to be ****ing huge now
The way I understand it is that he is (was) the commentator for Express FM for Pompey games, and has raised questions about the suitability and viability of the PDT's bid. Naturally that's got the trust's keyboard warriors onto him hurling all sorts of abuse, and he's finally decided he can't be arsed with the hassle anymore.

I must admit, I'm still reeling from the big news that has recently emerged. The little plastic bit has come off the end of my shoelace..
Classy
I don't know what forum software they're using, but in general the IP address used when registering is stored, as is the IP address used whenever you post. Any different IP addresses you use to browse while not posting are available at the time in the "Who's Online" bit (only admins/mods can see the IP), but they're not stored beyond the time the user is logged in unless they then post.
And if anything it makes their life easier - it draws a line under a situation they probably thought they'd washed their hands of as soon as Pompey were relegated.
This isn't necessarily true, IMO.
While the Premier League may say "we won't pay out if there's no club to pay the money to", I'm sure they'd be rather keen to keep the PFA (and potentially some of the PL's member clubs) onside by distributing what's owed to them out of the parachute payment they no longer need to pay.
