  1. Have the PST actually published their bid/business plan?
  2. You couldn't make it up
  3. Neil Allen appears to be trying to set up an e-war on Twitter by asking whether any Pompey fans follow the likes of Adam Leitch or Gordon Simpson at the Echo. He's clearly missing the point - we follow him for comedic purposes, and to remind us that, despite the protestations of a minority, the Echo is outstanding compared to the Snooze.
  4. Interesting to note that Bournemouth are picking up the entire tab for Barnard's wages during his loan spell (very unusual for a player dropping two divisions) - somewhere in the region of £13k a week
  5. That away end holds 2000 - judging by the TV footage of the goals, there's not a cat in hell's chance that end was more than half full.
  6. Looks as though fans of other teams are starting to get a little bit tired and fed up of the whole situation... this from the Football365 mailbox today:
  7. Nicely played
  8. £13 return on the train from Kings Cross as well, not too bad.
  9. Loads of really tough games to call in the Championship tonight, I'll probably give it a miss. Pompey seem a ridiculously long 7/2 away at Colchester though
  10. As Barry Davies said when Italy got beaten by South Korea in the 2002 World Cup... "they will not learn!"
  11. The system did need re-establishing, though, as Graeme Souness impressively destroyed the whole lot (while Lawrie was director of football, let's not forget) in the space of a year.
  12. I expect it includes the ability to change the displayed publish time, although this would usually be used for articles that are embargoed until a certain date/time, rather than backdating something that's been tardily released later than it should have been.
  13. It seems a bit odd that we're relying on a club who were in non-league just over two years ago to sell tickets on our behalf.
  14. What are the rules regarding over-age players?
  15. That's me ****ed then
  16. After much deliberation, I have appointed JustMike and skintsaint as the two new Moderators for the forum - both are long-standing members of SaintsWeb and its predecessors, so have plenty of experience of how the site functions. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone else who applied for the positions, the fact I've taken until this late in the day to make the decision is testament to the quality of the applicants, and I hope everyone will attempt to make Mike and Rob's "move upstairs" as smooth as possible
  17. Might have been his choice, to be fair. Also, many players might not give a toss what number they're given, Davis might have asked for number 8, Cork said "yeah no worries, I'm not fussed"
  18. Nothing particularly eye-opening other than perhaps Guly and Cork moving out of the 11 - wonder if that was their choice, especially as 10 is still available (but presumably reserved for Ramirez if things can be sorted there)
  19. It is ****, but had it not been the first game of the season with the bonus of my attendance guaranteeing me an Arsenal away ticket, there's no ****ing way I'd be going either.
  20. That's the biggest mistake anyone connected with Pompey has made in this whole sorry mess. Had the money spunked up the wall on player wages and transfer fees been invested in building a modern stadium, they could arguably have been in a position to recover in the same way as we have. It certainly would have made the club more attractive to a proper buyer rather than a speculator with the Plan B of knocking the place down.
  21. In true SFC tradition, I was going to wait until 11.30pm tonight so the Echo wouldn't be able to include it in tomorrow's paper Actual answer is I've not decided yet, actually had to do some work this morning
  22. At one point probably about 8 or 9/1, but most bookies closed their "winning margin" markets either last night or this morning. 4+ was 18/1
  23. 10/11 with Ladbrokes
