  1. I did my usual bet of trebles from four games, all draws: Blackburn v Leicester FAIL Charlton v Hull WIN Bournemouth v Preston WIN Chesterfield v Rotherham WIN £8 (4 x £2 trebles) won me £86.13
  2. Unfortunately these days clubs are allowed to announce the official attendance based on number of tickets sold rather than turnstile clicks. I had a look through all the blocks on the online ticket system on Friday morning and there were around 15 tickets available in total in blocks 1-5, and every single one of them was an individual ticket, i.e. you couldn't get 2 seats together in blocks 1-5. Yet when it comes to the game, there are hundreds of empty seats, especially lower down in the stand. Either the online ticket system doesn't actually reflect reality (in which case the ticket office need to get their arses in gear), or hundreds of people with tickets (either season tickets or matchday ones) didn't turn up to the game, for whatever reason.
  3. Yes, we should definitely drop one of our only players capable of keeping possession
  4. I hope there are 2001 tickets left
  5. Highly unlikely. He had his medical for Chelsea today.
  6. BlueStar are still offering the discounted Day Rider tickets with season and match tickets. No idea whether First are doing likewise.
  7. That's because nobody's shouting about it until they've got the ticket in their hand...
  8. Technically SFC only signed a contract with Football League Interactive, who in turn subcontracted the actual site development to SapientNitro (and Perform before them). The clubs have no say at all in which company gets the contract, sadly.
  9. No, they've only received half of this year's parachute payment. It's paid in two instalments, the other one in January I think.
  10. Is that a euphamism?
  11. No, I was merely posing a question as to why they might enter discussions with such a character
  12. Saints still retain admin control over the system and their data (i.e. our data). The relationship between online ticket provider and the club is no different to how it was with AudienceView who provided the last system.
  13. You have to ask why the PST feel the need to engage in dialogue with someone with the known reputation of Bassini. OK, they've got to speak to Chainrai for obvious reasons, but surely you'd want to avoid anyone with that sort of background if at all possible? Unless of course they have a substantial shortfall in funding and are looking for someone else to come in and bridge that gap...
  14. Mark McAdam's trying to distance himself from the suggestion that Sky are whipping up a bit of a protesting frenzy down there
  15. This'll be good...
  16. Sorry, I failed Where to begin? £6m shortfall already based on the payout to players (budgeted £2m) 75% take-up of share pledges £750k raised through 5-figure "Associate Director" status "It should be noted that payments for 2013/14 season are estimates only, and are likely to be higher as a result of the new broadcasting deals signed" - er, no they're not. The amount you get from parachute payments is related to the broadcasting deal when relegated, not a subsequent one. Basing budgets on getting home draws in all cups (not that it matters as everything's split anyway) Ditching the academy in 2014/15 "Other than in calculating ticket prices, the forecast model does not take VAT into account" A sudden drop in costs between this season and next of more than £5m This will end well.
  17. Absolute shambles
  18. Have the PST actually published their bid/business plan?
  19. You couldn't make it up
  20. Neil Allen appears to be trying to set up an e-war on Twitter by asking whether any Pompey fans follow the likes of Adam Leitch or Gordon Simpson at the Echo. He's clearly missing the point - we follow him for comedic purposes, and to remind us that, despite the protestations of a minority, the Echo is outstanding compared to the Snooze.
  21. Interesting to note that Bournemouth are picking up the entire tab for Barnard's wages during his loan spell (very unusual for a player dropping two divisions) - somewhere in the region of £13k a week
  22. That away end holds 2000 - judging by the TV footage of the goals, there's not a cat in hell's chance that end was more than half full.
  23. Looks as though fans of other teams are starting to get a little bit tired and fed up of the whole situation... this from the Football365 mailbox today:
  24. Nicely played
