Unfortunately these days clubs are allowed to announce the official attendance based on number of tickets sold rather than turnstile clicks. I had a look through all the blocks on the online ticket system on Friday morning and there were around 15 tickets available in total in blocks 1-5, and every single one of them was an individual ticket, i.e. you couldn't get 2 seats together in blocks 1-5. Yet when it comes to the game, there are hundreds of empty seats, especially lower down in the stand. Either the online ticket system doesn't actually reflect reality (in which case the ticket office need to get their arses in gear), or hundreds of people with tickets (either season tickets or matchday ones) didn't turn up to the game, for whatever reason.
