The Leicester fan I know probably wishes he was

If you're in London at all while you're over here, give me a shout
-
Leicester level, Steve Howard Can't believe he's still there
-
I'll be here on Saturday as well, can't justify a £100 day out at Burnley with three days in Cardiff next week (completely buggered by them changing the date after I'd booked travel and hotel )
-
Perhaps, or just simply that Lennon didn't think he was what he was after. It happens sometimes, doesn't necessarily reflect badly on the player in question. That said, after the Forest game I was worrying a bit

Cardiff 1-0 Leicester. Both teams meet again on Sunday in the Championship. Weird how often that sort of thing happens, Palace played Middlesbrough on Saturday and last night as well

It is, but not for free. They bought the server and will manage the techy side of things, but we're paying them for the privilege. However, we are getting all of that for a lot less than they'd normally charge a client. It's still more than we were paying on the old server, but the advertising revenue has risen a fair bit in the last year, so the budget fits quite nicely.

The server isn't free

Consider it sorted

Correct

Brighton losing already

I'm intrigued by Reeves, he played the first half against FC Biel in pre-season at left-back, but has now changed to an attack-minded midfielder. Anyone got any insight on why that might have been (either why he was playing at left-back in Switzerland if he's naturally an attacking midfielder, or why he's now an attacking midfielder if he's naturally a left-back)?

Prices for this one would have been agreed with both Preston and Charlton because their second round tie only took place last week and we had the tickets on sale before that.
-
We have, but that's generally because we've priced the tickets attractively in the past. £14, for me, to watch what is essentially a glorified reserve game, is too much. I appreciate that the prices have to be agreed between both sides as there's a split in the gate receipts, but it does seem that in the Carling Cup these days, "less is more" applies to the early rounds in particular. The supposed 5000 figure is probably those who would have gone to the game even if it was £20. I'm not going tonight, it's too much effort for this sort of game to have to work through lunch and leave early to get the packed commuter train out of Waterloo, paying £22 for the privilege, and then not getting home until about 1am. Would I have been tempted if it was a tenner? Maybe, even though it's only a difference of £4, strange how rounding the price down to a single note does make a bit of a psychological difference.

This assumes he does get us promoted. We're 7 games into a 46-game season At this stage, any one of the twenty teams in the Premier League is a massive step up simply because they are competing in the Premier League. That's not to say I think he'll go anywhere, at least in the short-term, but you never know what might happen.
-
They could try, when Moyes eventually gets bored of banging his head against that glass ceiling (get money on him being the next Spurs manager, by the way), but other than Premier League football - which we might have ourselves in the medium-term - we've probably got better resources at our disposal than Everton at the moment. They were that desperate for cash that they sold their top scorer to a club in the division below them.
-
According to a Preston-supporting mate of mine, they're bringing about 150 down tonight. Can't say I'm surprised with the low turnout, £14 to watch what is effectively reserve team football is a hell of a lot of money.
-
As I said above, it was a freebie last night, a bloke at work had a spare ticket. Face value was only a tenner anyway.
-
To be fair, it was free And their pies are ****
-
I went to the game last night and my reaction to that was simply "hmmmm". Very strange. He played a slightly odd role last night, almost as a defensive right-midfielder, allowing Carl Dickinson to overlap on a regular basis and slotting in at right-back to cover for him, when his strength would be playing high up the pitch and attacking the opposing full-back. When he got on the ball he did look dangerous, as you'd expect against a League Two side, but that didn't really happen enough.

It is. The point of it last time was a) for forum members to have a chance of winning those benefits, and b) some free publicity for the site in the programme and on the big screens - the more people we have using the site, the more diverse and interesting it becomes, IMO.

I thought this thread was going to be a dig at Gus Poyet and Brighton. How disappointing I think the big clubs will ultimately end up ****ing off to some breakaway league in the next 10-20 years, which will leave those who have prepared for such an eventuality (like ourselves) in a very strong position. However, in the meantime, we'll probably have to accept that a lot of players will fall through the system because the biggest clubs will hoover up all the best talent, tell them they've already made it and then act surprised when it turns out they can't handle the pressure at the age of 15.

SaintsWeb doesn't have a kit, the long-standing Southampton IFC team has a kit, which I have possession of.
