  1. Just two 45-minute defensive slots available now. As the 90-minute slots have been over-subscribed, there are likely to be 5 people who requested 90-minute slots who I can only fit into a 45-minute slot.
  2. 120 referrals from that site
  3. Anyone know what would happen if they were to fail to deliver the document on time today?
  4. Jesus christ. As if the shambles couldn't get any worse
  5. Assumption being the mother of all ****-ups, of course Jubilee line's often part-closed at weekends for engineering work, hopefully they haven't got any planned that weekend! Metropolitan line is another option and is actually a lot quicker from Finchley Road onwards, but it's really ****ty trains
  6. I do wonder whether that process is legal (it's certainly ethically dubious), given that Mark Jacob is a senior partner at Fuglers - just a bit of a conflict of interests...
  7. The tube station's only bad if the ground's full, and England games see thousands of people leaving in the last 5-10 minutes of the game to avoid the queues. For a cup final, where one set of fans will clearly leave pretty quickly when they've lost while the other will hang around celebrating, it actually works out very well. I went to the League Two playoff final (Bristol Rovers v Shrewsbury) a couple of years ago (attendance of 60k or so), hung around to see the Rovers celebrations after the game and still got on the tube without much of a wait.
  8. Going back to West Brom, apparently.
  9. Realistically, there are currently 6 scheduled services that morning. If (and it's a massive "if") they are all fully stocked with 10 carriages like the commuter train I get on every day, they could probably fit 1500 on each service at a bit of a squeeze. That would allow 9000 fans to get to Waterloo on the train. There are also two services from Southampton Central to Reading, where you could change to go to London Paddington. As these are Cross-Country services, they tend to have fewer carriages and fewer seats on those carriages.
  10. I would be amazed if the coach companies haven't bumped up the price because they know the demand will be there. As Stu said, the Customer Charter or whatever they've called it this year states that coaches will be operated at cost price.
  11. Presumably Chainrai, as a secured creditor, can put them into administration, and as he's now running the club, it's pretty much the same thing.
  12. Ultimately, if it's proven that they were trading insolvently, Saturday's game should never have taken place.
  13. The view counts are generally only updated once an hour.
  14. I dunno, the interest rates should have recovered by 2020...
  15. Right, latest update: Everyone who is a Full Member who has emailed so far is in. I'll list each of the people who have registered, but I'm not going to put any provisional lineups up just yet as they could (and probably will) change quite a lot until we've got both squads filled. In alphabetical order: Andy Porter, Arizona, B Rabbit, bigdavewatson, bpsaint, Delmary, forever a red and white, Foxy, GenevaSaint, Griffo, INFLUENCED.COM, JustMike, Minty, Neilza, Noodles, ooohTerryHurlock, prideofthesouth, RedAndWhite91, REDARMY79, SaintDonkey, saintsforlife7, sotonjoe, Spades, St Hando, stevegrant, The Flying Finn, Um Bongo Phil and Nick will again be managing the two teams. I am mostly looking for defenders now - centre backs, particularly
  16. This must be the first time in history that Peter Storrie hasn't enjoyed having money waved in his face...
  17. Indeed. It was on the basis that they would guarantee we'd get the right sizes etc now, but in reality there will be plenty left in a couple of months when they start the Easter -> end-of-season sale.
  18. All well and good against the sides who will bring decent away followings like Leeds, but it'll be a bit pointless giving 100 Hartlepool fans a load of abuse
  19. While the saves he made looked good, if Papa Waigo and Adam Lallana had been able to put any sort of power behind their efforts, he wouldn't have had a hope in hell of saving most of them. Very frustrating.
  20. We have 14 days to pay the money owed for the gate receipts. I hope we take every second of those 14 days.
  21. Accountants in "not squeezing as much money out of its client" shocker - can't see it, personally
  22. As Chez says, that's not their remit. The Premier League could (and should) have imposed another embargo while they get this statement prepared, but that would involve them actually growing a pair first.
  23. Legally, they haven't... yet. That will come around this time next week.
  24. Let's look at it logically - from what I remember, the Premier League requires a majority of 14:6 when voting on major decisions. Obviously Pompey won't be able to vote, whether that makes the quorum 13:6 or 14:5, I've no idea. For prudence, let's assume the lowest scenario. Teams who Pompey have beaten this season: Wolves Wigan Burnley Liverpool I think it's fair to say that none of these teams will be willing to help Pompey out. If they go under, each of these teams will benefit from their defeats being erased from the records, so they won't lose any points. 4 against the bailout Teams that have beaten Pompey twice: Fulham Arsenal Man City Man United It's fairly safe to say that Fulham, Manchester City and Arsenal will want Pompey to survive. For City and Arsenal, that is because Liverpool dropped three points against Pompey. For Fulham, while relegation is unlikely, Pompey's records being erased would bring them one point closer to the relegation zone (8 points clear instead of 9), and would take them further away from the Europa League qualifying places (11 points instead of 9). It's not quite so clear-cut for Manchester United - while they would lose ground on Chelsea to increase the gap to 4 points instead of 1, they would have a game in hand, and they would expect Chelsea to beat Pompey in their second game anyway. 3 in favour of the bailout, 1 undecided Teams that have beaten Pompey in the only game they've played against them so far: Birmingham Bolton Aston Villa Everton Tottenham Blackburn Stoke Chelsea Unlikely that any of these teams would want Pompey to go bust this season. They've got another game to play against them, and already have 3 points in the bag from the first meeting. 8 in favour of the bailout The rest: Sunderland West Ham Hull West Ham collected 4 points from Pompey - they'll probably be quite happy with that at the moment. They'd drop from 14th to 18th, 3 points from safety, if those points were taken away. Hull only picked up 1 point from the game at the KC Stadium - would they fancy their chances at Fratton Park? Sunderland don't have that option, they conceded injury-time equalisers home and away and will expect other teams around them to pick up points against Pompey, With the records expunged, they'd increase the gap between them and the relegation zone from 3 to 4 points. 1 in favour of the bailout, 1 against, 1 undecided So I make that 12 definitely in favour of the bailout, 5 definitely against it, and 2 undecided - I suspect Hull would lean slightly towards the "against" vote, which would be enough to veto it.
