  1. Well yes, but I assumed that "WAP" in the way it's being discussed is simply "GPRS mobile browsing", which would still be over HTTP
  2. It's on a very long list of "things we'd like", but it'll take time. At the moment it's fairly low on that list.
  3. Dreadful, in a nutshell!
  4. Not all that bothered about the long-ball merchant stuff - at the end of the day he used that tactic to suit the players he had at his disposal. There's nothing to suggest that he's fixed in that style of play. What I am concerned about is that he has been whoring himself around to every club who's been looking for a manager for the last 6-8 months - including jobs in League One - and he's still out of a job.
  5. It's generally the combination of the name of the browser, the operating system it's running on, and the screen resolution. Obviously on mobiles, the screen resolution will be very small, so that's usually a giveaway.
  6. You can view a massively cut-down version of the forum at http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/archive - you can't post using that interface, but it's a quick and easy way to view the forum.
  7. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/fixtures Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  8. Train tickets bought, a whopping £4 return
  9. He had that nickname 3 years ago!
  10. Well that's quite a bit different from Chairman or CEO, so "meh".
  11. That may well be the case - and if so he rightfully deserves thanks for doing so - but I strongly suspect that Liebherr hasn't made his fortune by appointing people to positions who are either unsuitable or not experienced enough for that position. Oldknow clearly has some "baggage" from his previous stay here, and some may argue that his role in putting Liebherr in the frame here is repayment for the substantial payoff he and the other executive directors received from the club when they were removed 18 months ago, when they'd spent money we didn't have and led to us spiralling to where we currently find ourselves - bottom of League One.
  12. To be honest, from the commercial side of things he's actually got a very good track record. From the stories that have done the rounds, his man management skills aren't quite as good If, as has been suggested, he made the link between the club and Liebherr then I don't think many people would be in a position to argue with him getting some sort of tangible reward for it - whether that would be the chairman's job is another matter.
  13. I've read it on somebody's Facebook status - I wouldn't necessarily take that as gospel Would be a very bizarre appointment, given that this person (to my knowledge) has never held the position of chairman before.
  14. Yep. Disappointed with his attitude, to be honest - since he got the England U21 callup in September he's been average at best. Clearly thinks very highly of himself. He's got the potential to be a very good player, but he'll only become that player through hard work - something it seems he's not prepared to put in here.
  15. It's all the way around except on the Itchen stand - that stand can't be expanded due to the weight already placed on the foundations by the corporate facilities and the offices.
  16. A few hours... good spot
  17. St Mary's can be extended up to 45,000, but I'll be very surprised if it ever happens.
  18. Particularly to Hauritz...
  19. There are many people whose CVs stack up but have tried and failed to make significant money from football. It's not like any other industry. Even Sir Alan Sugar, about to be given a peerage for his services to business and industry in this country, made a complete pig's ear of a football club. The way I interpreted Liebherr's comments was that he wasn't going to be spending money the club hasn't got - as I mentioned earlier his clearing of the debts has freed up a significant sum of money which can now be apportioned elsewhere, so that along with any increase in matchday revenue will still see us as one of the bigger-spending teams in this division, but it won't be silly money. He seemed to emphasise the need for patience and not wanting to rush anything. To me, that's not the words of someone who's going to go on a spending spree any time soon.
  20. Yep. Couldn't make either the Eastleigh or Totton games, and won't be able to get to Cheltenham either, so I'll be making the most of this one.
  21. If he wants to do so, and isn't necessarily expecting a return on that money for a potentially-significant length of time, then fine, but I would rather we took the sensible and stable option of not running the club like a loss-leader in the hope that spending enough will get us back to the Premier League. If Liebherr was to bankroll a load of spending, and then a year down the line decide he doesn't want to do so anymore, the club's then back in a similar position to the one we've just got ourselves out of.
  22. This. Anything else and it would prove that we really haven't learnt our lesson, and we'll only be in the same situation again a few years down the line, IMO. There will probably be a bit of money to spend - after all, we're not spending nearly £5m a year servicing debt anymore - but I wouldn't expect us to be going on a spending spree this season.
  23. Because that billionaire is only offering to pay them that much. It's a case of "take that and get something or reject it and possibly get nothing".
