Costs still have to be controlled - until those holding the chequebook can be sure that we've got enough guaranteed revenue coming in to cover the additional cost of that area with the policing and stewarding costs it incurs, it's an understandable (if somewhat frustrating, as I'd like to move back to block 3) decision.
-
See my post above. As with last season, block 4 only.
-
Worth bearing in mind that blocks 1, 2 and 3 are still closed.

I think a draw's pretty much nailed on now with the likely rubbish weather tomorrow. I wouldn't be totally convinced that the Aussies will get a lead though, if you remember back to the Oval test in 2005, they were 264/1 and ended up 367 all out, and that was a typical batsman-friendly Oval pitch.

Harry Redknapp hates the director of football role as well when he's the manager, but that didn't stop him taking Mandaric's five pieces of silver when Graham Rix was in charge down there... If Keegan (or anyone else for that matter) was offered the right terms, they'd soon forget about their hatred of that role.
-
How did they do that?

I get up to London that early every day during the week - there's no chance I'll be doing that on a Saturday! I've been looking at a slightly later train up there, probably arriving in Carlisle for about 12.30, with a return on the Sunday at lunchtime.

Little bit unfair on Richards as he wrote a substantial cheque to the club when we went into admin.
-
Wilde lost money as well - should he be reimbursed? No, didn't think so... I don't think you'll find any Saints fan who's not grateful for him putting his hand in his pocket to cover the wage bill. That goes without saying, and you only have to look back at the many threads that have discussed it to see that people who generally don't have any time for Crouch - myself included - have given credit where it has been due for this. Using it as a stick to beat those who have genuine reasons for believing he shouldn't be involved in the club is plain wrong. The fact of the matter is that the money he put towards Pinnacle's exclusivity period is money he has wasted and he really only has himself to blame, and I suspect he's probably annoyed with himself that he didn't do a bit more investigation on that front. It's certainly proven costly for him personally. Fortunately the delay it caused didn't have fatal implications for the football club.

Well yes, but I assumed that "WAP" in the way it's being discussed is simply "GPRS mobile browsing", which would still be over HTTP

It's on a very long list of "things we'd like", but it'll take time. At the moment it's fairly low on that list.

Dreadful, in a nutshell!
-
Not all that bothered about the long-ball merchant stuff - at the end of the day he used that tactic to suit the players he had at his disposal. There's nothing to suggest that he's fixed in that style of play. What I am concerned about is that he has been whoring himself around to every club who's been looking for a manager for the last 6-8 months - including jobs in League One - and he's still out of a job.
-
It's generally the combination of the name of the browser, the operating system it's running on, and the screen resolution. Obviously on mobiles, the screen resolution will be very small, so that's usually a giveaway.

Train tickets bought, a whopping £4 return

He had that nickname 3 years ago!
-
Well that's quite a bit different from Chairman or CEO, so "meh".
-
That may well be the case - and if so he rightfully deserves thanks for doing so - but I strongly suspect that Liebherr hasn't made his fortune by appointing people to positions who are either unsuitable or not experienced enough for that position. Oldknow clearly has some "baggage" from his previous stay here, and some may argue that his role in putting Liebherr in the frame here is repayment for the substantial payoff he and the other executive directors received from the club when they were removed 18 months ago, when they'd spent money we didn't have and led to us spiralling to where we currently find ourselves - bottom of League One.
-
To be honest, from the commercial side of things he's actually got a very good track record. From the stories that have done the rounds, his man management skills aren't quite as good If, as has been suggested, he made the link between the club and Liebherr then I don't think many people would be in a position to argue with him getting some sort of tangible reward for it - whether that would be the chairman's job is another matter.
-
I've read it on somebody's Facebook status - I wouldn't necessarily take that as gospel Would be a very bizarre appointment, given that this person (to my knowledge) has never held the position of chairman before.
-
Yep. Disappointed with his attitude, to be honest - since he got the England U21 callup in September he's been average at best. Clearly thinks very highly of himself. He's got the potential to be a very good player, but he'll only become that player through hard work - something it seems he's not prepared to put in here.

It's all the way around except on the Itchen stand - that stand can't be expanded due to the weight already placed on the foundations by the corporate facilities and the offices.
