Agreed as long as clubs don't over stretch themselves financially I see no problem.
-
A bit odd that Briggs has bowled 17 overs, Tahir none. We seem to like to keep him to bowl at the lower order, any thoughts ?
-
Chanderpaul is a big wicket always of course but Di Venuto always seems to score stacks of runs. Strange though how when I check cricinfo invariably nothing has happened ( for us!), come on here and lo and behold 2 wickets gone !

Excellent, just blooming well stay in Division 1 now!
-
Can't be long left, 5 minutes?
-
299 all out
-
Lingfield 4.50 Merry Diva 3rd So I got a small return.
-
Pretty much as soon as the event is over you can collect.
-
Lingfield 4.20 Chandrayaan 4th
-
Novellen Lad 2nd 7/2. Ran well enough but just had the worst of the draw.
-
Raining again ! 95/1. Close of play.
-
But McCarthy is a good goalkeeper ( on loan from Reading) and losing him is a definite blow. Davis or Bart? No contest is it.
-
Only a minor interest mainly as Dimi is playing. England won the toss AGAIN and will bat first. No Brett Lee so we might have a slight chance! Teams: England: Andrew Strauss (capt), Joe Denly Ravi Bopara ( Why ??) Matt Prior (wk) Owais Shah Eoin Morgan Dimitri Mascarenhas Stuart Broad Adil Rashid Tim Bresnan Ryan Sidebottom Australia: Shane Watson Tim Paine (wk) Ricky Ponting (capt) Michael Clarke Callum Ferguson Michael Hussey Cameron White Mitchell Johnson Nathan Hauritz Peter Siddle Nathan Bracken.

88/1. Rain stopped play again.

1 x Ew treble, 3 x Ew doubles on : Haydock 4.00 Novellen Lad Lingfield 4.20 Chandrayaan Lingfield 4.50 Merry Diva All on my short list, all tipped up by Hugh Taylor ( ATR) and all about 4/1-5/1 and in with good chances I reckon.
-
Play resumed, 80/1. Koetzer out to Briggs who now has an impressive 1/15 off 7. Ervine 3 overs..........17 runs. Not worth bowling him IMO.
-
I'm sure I have seen him bowl spin :smt102

Good ! They forecast showers today and tomorrow. Just need enough time to get bonus points and then draw the match, would do us nicely especially as they are already 58/0 off 16 overs. Briggs 5 overs for 10 which is encouragingly economical and suggests he may not be easy to score against. Interesting how Tahir is usually brought on relatively late in the innings.

Lol not even 5 minutes- Waigo !
-
Couldn't care less what his opinion is TBH. We secured an excellent point at Charlton even without Jaidi and Waigo starting and these 2 players alone will improve us greatly. As has been mentioned we really need to get into plus points, 3 v Yeovil would clearly help and I think this could be the game when we score 4 or 5.
-
Well if Adams bowls we are in trouble but still worse if Ervine bowls as he will at some point no doubt.
-
At this stage of the season all games should start the same day but in CC1 only the Hants game starting today, the rest tomorrow I think.
-
Yes, Briggs is on already, 33/0 off 10 but winning the toss would have helped I suggest. If you include Dawson we actually have 3 spinners plus Griffiths, Cork and dare I say Ervine ( which might explain why Briggs is on 1st change!)

Said yesterday they were all out to win their last 2 games.
