I know I'm a 100 miles away but it's quite gloomy here now, at 9am there was hardly a cloud in the sky.

Those people who rightly are against anyone inciting violence would do better to use their time and energy to ensure this feeble government not only enforces the laws which are in place to prevent this but also protects our soldiers who risk their lives every day with totally inadequate resources. This whole EDL thing makes me very uneasy and I suspect the title is meant to sound racist because by their very nature these kind of groups attract just the sort of person who is racist and as one of the members on FB says why protest peacefully? Also very odd that the founder appears to live in the USA? Even the "unbiased" Youtube video is notable for the fact that the group shown is more reminiscent of a group of football hooligans abroad than a group of peaceful protesters. Call it what you will I'm of the opinion this is intended to be a racist group though that's just me exercising my right to express my point of view which fortunately is one thing we all do still have.

Shame we lost 2 late wickets but at 267/6 with Pothas there and Ervine to come we ought to get past 290 and then 300+ which should be enough to secure the draw. Still not sure why Ervine has not batted. Anyone know if he is injured ?

I'd have taken it at the start TBH ! We are definitely not going to win but if the batsmen dig in we should avoid the follow on and defeat. Yorks made 403 v Sussex ( who also only got 2 bowling points) who are 100/1 in reply. We need to match Sussex and that I think makes us all but safe ?

187/4, Benham and Pothas put on 73 so far. Ervine not yet batted, was/ is he injured and therefore cannot bat above 7 ? Don't need another injury !

I prefer to judge based on what I've seen rather than the view of the press, a friend, a friend of a friend etc; Only seen snippets of Blackpool/Euell so can't judge him there but I can say I thought he was a decent player for us, just my opinion but one I voiced a number of times on here TBH. These days it seems substitutions are almost mandatory. Apart from bringing on Waigo maybe a bit earlier why make changes just for the sake of it ? We'll never know whether earlier substitutions might have changed the outcome and it's really not worth guessing as opposed to having an opinion based on what exactly might have happened. Oh yes, I already mentioned, 3 subs can be used so must be used.

434/9 does suggest a draw is our best hope. At least Yorks recovered well to 274/7 ( were 209/7) and the Hove pitch has been spinner friendly in recent times so 300+ might be a good score. In all likelihood a defeat for Sussex would all but relegate them.

Just realised the Champions Trophy follows on from the ODI's v Australia. We'll lose Dimi for our final game v Yorks if Wright is ruled out though Yorks will lose Bresnan and Rashid for sure. Is there no end to OD International cricket ? It gets boring.
